How do these scammers get our numbers?? Been getting more and more of these. It's like a monthly thing.

Report to donotcall.gov and they will be investigated

The easiest way to do this is open up excel, starting with a predefined area code, then using an algorithm to generate a series of random phone numbers (area + 7 digits). Say 50,000 phone numbers is then imported into a software to do automatic phone dialing loaded with a pre-recorded message. The odds are 25% - 50% of the time the generated numbers are valid, the valid numbers are then exported as a dataset for marketing/scamming purposes.

National Do not call list might work but they will not be able to investigate because these robo calls are mostly set up in overseas using a fake US number. If someone proceed with the prompt, the line will then be transferred to one of the overseas scamming center where a person with an accent instructed you to provide certain personal information.

Tired of all the useless calls......on my cell phone. It rings and quits then rings again. No one ever there IF I answer it.
This year I am having MORE AND MORE AND MORE of these types of calls?????????????

I answer and set my phone down. After 1-2 times the caller stops.
