I keep getting called from this number and it is an agency that claims I defaulted on a payday loan and that I am going to be arrested. I know this is a scam because they called me about a month ago from a different area code for a different month and amount of loan. They have all my information and have been calling me at work. So tired of the calls everyday! This area code is from california but the one last month was from miami and they all sound like they are from a different country!

I recieved a call fro mthis number also telling be to have my attorney call and if I dont respond they wish me good luck.  Did you find out what scam this is

I got 2 calls asking me to call this number back.  They sound like they are from another country and are asking me to have my attorney call.  It sounds very threatining and I think I am going to call the FBI

I received a call from this number yesterday, and was left a message saying I defaulted on a pay day loan, and that criminal charges were being brought against me. I was told I was going to jail, and that a legal investigator would be showing up at my door tomorrow, and that I may be arrested. I was told that I would lose my social security as well. The call was very threatening and did scare me deeply. I checked with my bank as they said they had directly deposited 200 to 300 dollars in which I never paid back, my bank records show no such deposit, and my credit report shows no such debt attained or defaulted. I am worried because they had all my information. In 2009 I did make the mistake of applying for loans on line, but never completed the application, because every time I would begin filling one out it would bump me over to another loan company over and over. I soon there after closed my bank account for fear that someone would steal from it. They said the loan was given in 2009, but looking back at the months the account was open in that year there were no record showing such a deposit. Thank You!!!

Dont' sweat it. It's a scam. No-one will come to your house, no-one will arrest you (they don't come and arrest you for debt anyway).

Just ignore the calls and don't call back or answer them.

P.S. NEVER apply for a loan (payday or otherwise) through the internet.

these people keep calling me and leaving various numbers with the 213 area code.  The all have an accent and really do not speak good english. They all keep saying that a lawsuit is being filed against me and that I should call them right away and if I don't contact them right away then I will have to deal with whatever comes through the courts.

I too just reaeived a call from the number 213-779-2204. They had informed me that I had defaulted on a loan. They told me that they would send an officer to drag me to courthouse to take care of this matter. I think they are just trying to scare me. I told them if you do indeed have all this info on me and want send an officer out, well then go right ahead and do so. The man who just called me said his name was Kurt Wagner, if any of you watched TV growning up then you know that the NightCrawler from X-Men that was his real name. Last month his name was Daniel Black who is a professional Boxer, and the month prior to that was Alan Green who a large Sports Commentator. So I think they are full of crap but I guess I will find out on Monday.

These phone calls are nuts.

dont listen to the idiot on the phone he is a big scam person who got to me once but i got most of the money back and every time now when it gets close to a payday for me he calls every time from a different phone number so dont worry all of you he is an idiot who just wants money and dont give them any at all

How did you go about getting your money back?

just go to your bank and file a claim about how these people are scamming you and making you pay for something and scared the heck  out of you when they said they had three charges against you so just file

oh .. I dnt think it would be fake ... bcoz  i got call from their side and they have been  callin from Los Angeles ... and I told them that u r a fake n then they said ok n take care of this matter in the court house n i will be recievin an investigation officer with all the ligal documentation at my residential address or at my job place ...and i thought its all are just scam and nothin willl happen but after 3 days I actually recieved the officers and they took me to the court house n I have paid abt $6000  as penalty amount plus my due amount ... and also i lost my job and now im sittin at home and counting the leaves out of my window ..

"Eric" and "Lwtonya" are stooges for the scam. Its a scam, don't believe them and call their bluff.

I have been recieving call from this # also and this time his name is Shawn and saids he works for a law firm call William/Scotts and associates and i would have to pay 5.000 in fees if this was I called the Attorney General office you have the right to have them send you what comoany they are collecting from and the Phone # so you can check it out

this is not a fake company......they actually suied me 5484.87 on monday i was arrested....and i was taken to the court house for a legal hearing in the court house .....and they finnally proved me false....and trust me guys i had to pay them 5484.87 as a penalty charge for fooling around with advance america cash advance so plz dont take them lightly its takes time but they  do sue people in  the court house.......and the loan that i took was for 500$ but had to end up paying 5484.87 so i request all of  u plz dont take them lightly ........and ya dont use abusive language over the call as their lines r federaly recorded even i had use profenity over the call and carried it as a proff with them in the court house......so guys god bless i hope u dont get a call from L.L.C law office california

Do these people have a website how do you know that they are legal? I am going to have my attorney call them back they are calling me at work I don't  know what they want because their english is very poor.  All they leave are threatening messages.

I had the same exact thing happen to me just today. Same story about defaulted payday loan from National Cash Advance, from over a year ago mind you, which I never took out. I asked them to email me or mail me the info and they refused. I am on vacation and the non-English speaking people actually had the nerve to tell me they would come and arrest me if I didn't pay or get a lawyer! After I got off the phone with them and came to my senses, I called them back and asked for their state license number to practice law and they hung up on me! The scary part is they had my work, bank and adress information.

I don't know what country you are from, Letonya.. but in the USA the police do not 'drag you to the courthouse' for a debt.  The police will not force you to immediately pay anything without due process of law; that means the one filing the complaint must face you in a court of law.  I have a feeling you are one of the scammers trying to scare posters into  complying with your scam..

Eve is obviously a lying scammer as well.. you do not get arrested for debt in this country.  Scammers, however, do go to jail.  A trust me, people are trying to find you....
