They claim to have received a legal petition concerning a tax that I supposedly owe and they advise that I need to call them immediately to avoid being arrested and called into Federal claims court. The call originated in Los Angeles California.

I got the same message.  I called back to verify and they said I could disconnect the call immediately and hung up on me.

I just recieved a call from that same number claiming i owed money for taxes and to call or I would be aressted. It was a woman`s voice.

Same scam received by my wife. Understandably, she was quite upset. Don't know if there is a link but the caller kept phishing asking if we had used Turbo Tax and referenced tax year 2012/13. Not sure if that relates to the essence of the scam as in how they received phone numbers to call or not. Hope they get shut-down.
