A voicemail from this number a guy with an Indian accent said he was from financial crimes investigation

Had a call from this number and said his name was Adam Smith and was calling from Brown and Smith Law Firm. I in return askd from where and he said Texas. I said where in Texas and then askd me  why I needed to know. Red flag Scam . But knew my ss number bank account and work place

Received message stating from criminal division and if I don't call back this will go to Federal Court....very scarey

This Indian person called from this number saying that he was a lawyer and if I didn't pay some past due bill , that he was going to take me to court. He really sounded like a scam artist .

Yes, he knew my work place also , but they can get all that info a lot of places out there. This guy was a scam artist

Received a phone call and a voice mail on 04/12/2017 at 1:32 PM EST from telephone number (214) 230-1560, stating verbatim,"Name is Adam Smith and I am calling regarding an enforcement action executive by financial crimes investigations department intending your serious attention. Ignoring this will be an intentional second attempt to avoid an initial appearance before a magistrate judge." It was evident from the voice mail that the caller had a heavy Indian accent and did not have a full comprehension or knowledge of the appropriate usage of the English language. I never returned the phone call and I very sure that this is a scam that people need to be warned about. Already notified the FTC and my state Attorney General about this nonsense.

I received the same exact same message as Liz. I have also been getting emails regarding the same type of issues with settlement amounts if I pay immediately. I know my information was compromised, so I know this is a total scam. Just very annoying. This would scare some people to death and they would probably hand over the money. Very frustrating!

Scammer using a Magic Jack for telephone use. I didn't pick up but called from another phone that has a block.

Same BS as everyone else. Anyone with half a lick of sense knows that if there were a lawsuit out there with your name on it or the IRS were after you this clown would NOT be calling you. Neither would anyone else. You would get it hand delivered to you by a warrant officer of the court or in the case of the IRS- a certified letter.
