This guy is "Richard" gets your name address and phone number off of craigslist ad, and then sends counterfeit check asking you to cash it and give a freight company the difference in the cost of the item you are selling and the freight charges.  Scammer........Nice try looser...... I am 10 steps ahead of you!  Bring it... send the mover and see what happens

Richard contacted me about a item I had for sale on craigslist. He has multiple phone numbers. The one listed here 2144627563, 5027851059, and a email address of welburn00038@gmail.com

"Richard Welburn" just tried the same scam on us. He used email welburn00038@gmail.com, tel (via text) 442-444-2553.  Thanks to this thread for confirming our scam suspicions.

Welburn00038@gmail.com  this guy is suposed to be sending a check to employ me as part of a consumer research groupe to evaluate wallmart stores and financial services in my area. This is scam number 15 in 7 days .

This Richard Welburn guy has done the same to me. He wanted my item off craigslist. Fedex flagged the first check. So he sends another one. For way more than my items cost. Said to give the rest to the shipping company. So second check gets taken to his bank. Found out its a fake and that he has done this to a lot of people. I have all emails and the fedex box with the shippers info on it. So I have a lady's name and address now. I really hope they bury this guy under the prison.

Yep, he just contacted me using the telephone number 502-785-1059. Scammer!

Just did the same to me and I told him I gave the numbers to the police

Just got a text from him with same offer, send a certified check, wait for it to clear and then he sends his shipping co to pick up items.  I was skeptical and found my self here  stick with only wanting payment via paypal or cash.

He or she is still at it!!!!!  First a text message (864-724-9136) in response to a Craigslist posting, then an email (wellburn00038@gmail.com) outlining a payment and shipping process exactly like the others.  Thanks to all for posting this person as a fraud. Not going to waste my time.

Wow this guy is really is a scumb bag he just tried the same scam on me. But I actually draged him along as long as I could telling him I recieved the check and was waiting for it to clear for about a week then just told him I was on to his scam lol pay back baby and thanks to this site and everyone for posting about him

Hey this guy text me from a Kentucky number trying to do the same thing to me, I responded to his email telling him I'd only accept cash in this case and now I haven't heard anything in response.

I got the same thing off a craigslist ad.  Certified Check sent overnight, give him name and address, he will send his shipping company to pick it up.  Phone number 607-323-3964
