Got a call said me or my atty need to return the call and if we didn't they could only wish me luck on the wrath that would unfold on me. Anybody have any info on who this is?

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

I got a message from this number stating the same thing about me or my attorney calling them and it sounded like I was being cursed out in some foreign language.

I got a threatening message saying basically I owed money and myself or my lawyer should call of I would have wrath upon me. Scam artists!!!!

I got a call today from 214 491-5697 stating me or my attorney need to call as as poosible to handle a debt if I didnt' then I brought this on myself what will happen to me. I spoke to a man named Travis Hall stating that I had until 2pm today to send 856.16 or a warrant will be issued for my arrest on Monday and I would be in jail from Monday until the 26th of November. He said that he was reading a Affidvidt telling me that that I would be arrested and it's from a company called Americash that does nationwide payday loans. I asked for his number and he said that I could call this number back with ext 616. When I call the number back it was a actual law office But I believe that they are using this actual law office number to sound legimated.I almost fell for this I was very nervous and scared and was considering sending them money however, if this was true then I would have received something in the mail before it would have came to this point.

Got a very similar call to send money or I would be arrested. Luckily my cousin is a lawyer and she called them and they hung up on her!

Same thing. This time, his name was Jack Loomis. Said that if either myself or my retained attorney of record did not contact him that he would wish me luck, as this situation unfolded on me. Heavy accent

Omg. These scam artist won't quit! A so called Representative left a message and it sounded as if he was "Reading" from a cue card. Just horrible! When I called back, the representative tried to get information from me trying to confirm my SS. O_O I didn't give him no piece of information. When I told him to stop with the spam and take me off this stupid calling list.....he said "No, you are going to jail for life if you do not pay."
LMAO! Yeah right. Don't believe these terrible actors!

I received a threatening phone call from this number wanted personal info and said if I didn't comply I would be sorry

Johnathan Edwards called me at work. He sounds Asian and he is trying to extort money from people by scaring you into thinking you owe them money for a loan you defaulted on. The police need to get involved because they are calling people's jobs and homes and blatantly lying to extort money.

I just got the same call on my cell phone.  I get these calls all the time.  The only thing I tell them is that i am unemployed so they will not call my place of employment.  And I have told me place of employment about these calls so if one of them calls my boss also says that I dont work there.  The person that just called me said his name was Austin Black and that I had a loan with US Cash, never heard of that place.  And that they couldn't tell me what the original loan amount was but that I had to pay them 8000 or go to jail tonight.  This is ridiculous.

I recieved a call and the man, who sounded like a foreigner, asked for my attorney's info because a suit has been filed against my name. I went on and told the man I had the police departments number. After I said that he said I would be arrested Monday. This is ridiculous.

Got a call from this number telling me that my attorney and I had until Friday to pay something I owed.  I had applied for a payday loan in the last week or so and decided to look up the number.  I had gotten a similar call a few days ago and it scared me to death.  I looked them up on the internet and found that it was a scam.  When this Indian talking man called today, I hung up on him and he called me back.  I did not answer but he left the message saying I was rude and that it was in my best interest to have my attorney call.  I looked up the number and found that it is a scam.

SCAM ALERT-These people are scammers and I am famiiar with the script as they tried about two months ago to get me to contact them.  Dont awnser.

This same person has called before and at one time dialed 7 times using a different number in one day.  They used a different number before but the guys voice is the same and he used a different name this time.  I already filed complaints with the FTC and the Attorney General in the state where the suppossed call is coming from before.  The guys accent is indian I believe.  He is reading off a script.  Here is what he left on my voicemail tonight as I didnt awnser.

" I need you or your attorney on record to return the call and his name is John Wilson. Says the number is the hotline to his division.  Dont disregard this message and if I dont return the call or my attorney doesnt, the only thing he can do is wish me good luck as the situation unfolds on you".  

These people are total scammers.  I dont owe them any money to them and have no idea who they are.  The Attorney Generals office told me to not awnser the calls and disregard what this person said.  A normal collection agency would provide a letter and not leave threatening messages.  

Report these callers and dont awnser your phone.

I just got this same call. They called me before. He said his name was Brian. The first time he called he called from a 414 area code, this time he called from this number.

people are full crap.. according to them i should have been in jail for 5 days now. when they call you tell them you are recording the call and are going to file a police report if they call you again, and you won't have any more calls from them. DON'T SEND THEM ANY MONEY. thank you all for your postings, they have saved people such as myself from being taken advantage of.

Yes Joe. They were reading off a piece of paper as they spoke. It's a middle eastern indian scam from phone jacks (can't be traced) and it's reeking havoc on the U.S. Just ignore them... they're bonafide scammers and @$$ h0les... I get them too LOL!  Here... let me see if i can mimic...

yes i recieved a call on friday from travis hall stating i would be arrested for a payday loan i know nothing about americash i never heard of them,i too scared to death because i had just applied for a payday loan,this call came from missouri 417-218-0805,these people need to be stopped.
