SCAM** supposed law office trying to say that i owe on a payday loan and i need to pay them $500 some odd dolars

I received a call from them today in which the left me a threatening voicemail and they called my employer. Definitely a SCAM!!

They called my phone and ss I owed a loan and  that I will be picked up by the ploice. And they hope I rott in prison!! WTF!!

They called me and said a case was downloaded to Illinois for a payday loan

the person has accent from oversea. Claiming something about a case and wont divulge the exact nature

Keep calling me. Say they will arrest me. Want my attorney information or something? Very rude and demanding. Demanded some kind of payment or else and wish you luck on what will happwn to me. Heavy accent, called more then once using different names and numbers. They dud have some personal info on me. Told them if your legit use proper channel's and have a sheriff serve me. They hung up.

They have my imformaton, guy gas a heavy accent and tells me if I don't pay the sherrific will arrest me at wk.he also tells me good luck and says his name is began and they wk for thelaw firm of Dallas,they like to call u at wk

This is the second number that has called me regarding me having a lawsuit agaisnt me. No details very rude. Lets see if they call back. I think it all started from me applying for a payday loan.

guy named michael thompson said he worked for a dallas law firm but wouldnt give me the name of the firm. said he was going to go foward with the courts and have me arrested here in ohio? he hung up so i called it back and a woman answered Dallas Law Firm! ha ha what a joke! i asked her if that was the name of the firm and she put me on hold! never to return!

I got a call from this sounded kinda legit got worried called back he read me a supposed affidavit. Told him i have no idea wat ur talking about then he gets rude so i cussed him out he saif i will be arrested. Then hangs up i call back said i wanna talk to whoever is in charge he wont tell me i told him im waitng for the police to arrest me he says im crazy and ive been drinking! I said im at work u dumbass! He [***] another attitude and hangs up i call another 4number times and he says GET OFF MY PHONE FOO! I laugh!  SCAM!

I got a call from them about a hour ago saying I'm going to go to jail for money that I stole I'm was freaking out I know I didn't do anything but I've went in before for nothing I didn't feel better until I googled the number and found this I've called the cops we'll see how it turns out

said they will contact the local police if i didn't contact them about a legal matter

A man with a very thick Indian accent called me today. He said his name is Matt Taylor at which time I asked if he got that out of the phone book! He said he was calling me about a criminal case. I asked him what the hell he was talking about because I have never done anything criminal in my entire life! He said he would get someone who could explain it to me. I said, You are calling me but you have no idea why you are calling me?! I told him to never ever call this number again!!

I too have recieved a call in regards to a criminal case and that three criminal charges were being brought upon me.  I too like some of you others have gotten a payday advance.  The man also with a heavy accent told me where i worked and read my ss# to me.  I asked for the name of the company and to speak with a supervisor he hung up on me.  I called back several times threatening them and cursing at them to leave me the f alone and if they were legit why cant they disclose the name of the law firm or pass me to a supervisor.  Now I have three different numbers calling me all seem to have the same heavy accent.  They tell me good luck and that I will be pursued.  Its sad what people will do for money whats even sadder we go to these payday advances on line for some needed help and there sites arent even protect for the questions they ask us!  Now my ss# is floating around for some quick cash scheme a**holes to use.

I keep getting calls for my daughter, when I tell them she is not home they ask me to have her call them back at this number 214-491-5780. A guy with a heavy accent that makes it very difficult to understand what he is saying told me his name was Matthew Johnson and that he was calling from a Law Firm In Dallas. I could not really understand him and asked him three time to say or spell the name of the company he was calling from and all I got him to spell was the word "Dallas", I told him "Dallas is a big city what is the name of the company you are calling from and please spell it for me so I can understand you", he then told me he was calling about about a legal matter and that my daughter needs to call him back when she returns. NOT A chance.  I wish there was a way ot have these guys investgated and shut down for good.

These man keeps calling me and won't leave me alone, so I will not pick up the phone. They do not tell me who the company is and just gives the name "Randy Smith", but the guy who leaves the message has an indian accent. I happen to call them back that is provided on my caller ID after hours and it just rings and rings and there is no machine at all.

I kept getting calls from these guys. I finally answered one day and they went on and on that I owe someone some money. When I asked who I "owed" money too, he had to transfer me for that information. Then I asked who is he calling from so I can Google them, he started to get nasty and say that the cops will arrest me at work and I have a court hearing on Friday. Couldn't even tell me when this "hearing" was. When he told me I owe like a 1000 dollars, I said can I make payments in $500 bills using Monop money. He said no he couldn only take the full payment. What a joke. doesn't even know what Monop money is. now their calling from a different number saying that they want to confirm my address so they can send the cops. Scam Scam Scam!

I just received a call from a Dallas law firm saying I took out a loan yrs. ago and I have 3 felonies against me and I will be arrested if I didn't pay and it's people like myself who there going to make examples out of. Very rude and I just hung up. Keeps calling BEWARE

I received a call today from some Indian-accented guy, with the same exact threats of being arrested and sued and such. They claim I did business with an "American Payday Loan", and that I owe them $8,845.00, not including court costs, attorney fees, etc. They also tried stating the "Miranda rights" when a cop or authority figure with capabilities of arrests a suspect; plus threats of it being on my credit report, never getting a job, etc.

First of all, NO payday loan place offers that huge of an amount. If anything, MAYBE $500-1,000.00.
Secondly, It's illegal in states like Colorado to do any online or over-the-phone business with payday loan places, in any respect.
Third, I traced the unsolicited e-mails and phone calls to India.
Fourth, I am on a DONOT call registry, which means that NO telemarketers are authorized to contact me, period.

These Indian [***], because I never once had anybody from this country, have already broken how many federal laws, and they keep on doing it. I am not prejudice, mind you, but I do have something against these outsourced pricks that clearly think that they can say and do whatever, for whatever bogus reason, and they actually are getting away with it. This needs to stop, NOW.

I received that same call within the last half hour. They are calling from India, not anywhere in the United States. I traced the call, and they also broke the "cloaking" law, along with how many other federal laws. Technically, "cloaking" a number is not supposed to be used by even legitimate debt collectors, and NO telemarketer is allowed in any respect to use it. However, seems that these pricks from India, when the numbers are traced back to their location, are able to do it and get away with it. My Caller ID said "McKinnley, Texas".

(214) 491-5780 is the number (one of the many numbers that they use) that showed up on my cell phone. Simplest way, besides the website http://whatismyipaddress.com ( it shows your IP address, and also traces the IP address from the sender, back to the sender's location). It's a free site, and I use it frequently when I get Indian-accented calls. Appears that even for so-called job offer calls from what appears to be local phone numbers is actually coming from India, Philippines, etc...but mainly from India.
