Same message as others.  I asked name of her company she said Windows and there was a problem with my computer.  I asked for her # and I would call her back - phone call ended.  I immediately redialed her # and Verizon automatic message said that # was no longer in service  or disconnected.  Don't give out info or answer it.

Heavy accent, could barely understand them, sounded male.  Said he was getting lots of error reports from my computer, and if I signed onto my computer, he would help me take care of them.  I asked to speak to his supervisor for the third time he has called and he hangs up on me.  A friend of mine said his friend did what they asked and all personal information was stolen, bank account numbers and all.  DO NOT SIGN ONTO YOUR COMPUTER!!!  Do not give any information to them.  Just hang up.

What ever you do, please ignore this number. Some man (or woman) with a thick Indian accent called me saying that I had a virus on my computer and asked me to press the control key and the "r" key. I did some research and found out that this scam has been going on internationally. If a strange long distance phone number comes up like this one, it's best not to answer it.

    Good luck.

    Keli
"Daniel" called and said their company was notified our computer had a virus and he wanted to help us. Since this was the fourth call from then after either hanging up or saying we are not interested, I decided to play along with "Daniel". I said we don't use our computer on the internet so how could he know we have virus? He then said well is this Keli? I said Yes. He then asked if I have a daughter! I said, why do you need to know if I have a daughter? He said to do flirty things and that he has my information! Finally, after I basically chewed him out, he hung up. Tried to call the number back, of course # doesn't work. I'm trying to pursue this further...this is just ridiculous.

Just received a call, caller provided similar information to what has been shared below, but that it was a security problem.

As I am an IT security professional, I tried to get as much information as I could from him.  He wanted to give me a URL to log into so he could repair the problem, which was showing up as a 'Red Alert'.  When I asked him the exact nature of the problem, he said, 'Um, it is in Red status.'.

'From where are you calling?'  -- "Microsoft Technical Support"

'And your name is....?'  -- 'click'

    'Hello?....

Don't answer.  I'm putting this in my call block list.
