This is a scam. They will tell you that IRS filed a case against you for tax fraud. That you have unpaid taxes from years ago. And funniest part - that the sherif will come within the hour to take you into custody. Thick and very unconvincing Indian accent.

Got voicemail from these clowns claiming to be U.S. Marshals and that I'm being investigated for tax fraud.They said to call them back for more information,well I tried and got no answer.I called the U.S. Marshals office in DC and was told this is a scam,U.S. Marshals don't call you on the phone and neither does the IRS.The thing that bothers me is why can't anyone find out who owns this number and go after them?

Received a call from this number during my lunch. They informed me I was under investigation for tax fraud and that I need to contact them immediately, they stated a number so quickly that I wasn't prepared to write it down. They also told if I don't call. The sheriff's office will come and arrest me. I called the number from my caller ID and it rang busy.

I got a call from this idiots saying I under investigation from tax fraud. This is a SCAM.

I got a call from this number today stating there is a claim against me for tax fraud. They want me to call them ASAP before I get arrested and spend time in jail. Call is from Rockwall, Tx.

I received a call from 214-771-7043 and I did not know the number so I did not answer the call. They had to nerve to leave the following voicemail: "The nature and purpose of the call is to inform you that we have received a legal petition notice concerning a tax fraud against you. Still before the matter goes to federal claims court house or before you get arrested please call immediately on our hotline division number that is 214-771-7043. Make sure you call us as soon as possible." I did not return that call. I instead googled the number and found this site.

I just received the same call which freaked me out! Unbelievable that this kind of thing is out there. Called it back and it just rang and rang with no answer or voicemail.

Got a call from "IRS" stating that there was a lawsuit against me and to call immediately or I would be arrested.  It was an automated recording using a computer.  Phone number was 214-771-7043.  Complete scam....

Got a call from this number with an automated voicemail. Same message as previous posts (tax fraud, call immediately). I blocked this number

I received this exact voicemail message left on my cell phone, just a few minutes ago. I also don't understand why the owner of this line is not arrested.

Robot call message left on my cell phone at 2:59 pm on 1-19-16. Msg said there is a claim being filed in federal court against me for tax fraud. I need to call 214-771-7043 to prevent further action, including arrest. According to caller ID on my cell phone, call originated from Rockwall, TX. Why are there so many claims against this number and no arrests??

Do not call back or give them pertinent information. It's a scam and it has been reported to several large phone carriers.

Just wanted to post this before a Sheriff from Texas comes to New York within the hour to arrest me. Try to have a little fun(I said my name was Fred Flintstone) with them before they hang up on you and are yelled at for wasting THEIR time. Caller ID says Rockwall, Texas. Obviously scam call.

Got similar message as others are posting... Threatening arrest due to federal tax penalties....

They claim I owe tax money need to call to settle before federal court or treasury dept comescand have you arrested,. They claim to be Treasury Dept. Persons name Judy Smith.

A [***] answered when I called back and said "IRS can I help you?" I asked why someone called me and hung up and he hung up. Probably realized I wasn't an infirm old man. [***].
