is he in jail? is this a jail payphone?

Got three calls from that number on the office phone where I work. Answered it the first two times and got no reply. Third time I let it ring. Seems like a scam or prank of some kind. I'd ignore it.

Got two missed calls from this number.  Called back a few times and it was busy.  called one last time and it just rang and rang.

I dated this hot chick in Dallas, TX so I thought it was her but it doesn't appear to be.

This number needs to be shutdown!!!

got a call today from the number 1-214-969-5489
it is a long distance carrier from the states.
my freind was calling me long distance from dallas using a calling card.
so whoeevr is calling from this number could be anywhere in the USA

i got a call from this # on 4-24-08 @ 7:57pm wasnt hm so i called back but didnt get an answer the 1st time it just rung and rung but the next few times i called it gave me a busy signal. i really wish i knew who it was or if some1 was calling me collect!!!! i sure hope that i wasnt my sons father calling from jail!!!!

I got this call on Sunday--was in shower.. nobody left a message. I looked up the number and found yalls comments on it. i do live in TX. the only places I think that are in Dallas that could call from this number is collection agencies? but I dont have any past due bills. --who knows!!

this is a payphone that is right around the corner from a CVS in Pittsburgh PA on Forbes AVE.

Get this call a couple of times a month.  Recorded message saying a collect call from a correctional institute costing $3.80.  No other information.

My husband called me from this number and i picked him up. We live in PA. I believe that whoever owns the service to the phone probably is based out of Texas.

I got a call from this number at 12:30 today.  I didn't answer it b/c I didn't know who it was.  It just ended up being a pay phone and it was my friend calling.

I think this is some kind of phone service that has contracts with prisons,
in that there are pay phones installed at the prison so inmates can make collect calls to family, friends, etc. Probably they can use a phone card to
make calls that are not collect calls.
I have a friend who is at a work release center in Bradenton Florida. When she
calls me this number shows up. Probably this same number shows up no matter which prison it is from. And possibly this company does non-prison-related phone service also.

Got this call on my cellphone, tried to call back and busy, no message left, I wont bother tracking it though, I work at ATT, wasnt an att celphone!

i've receieved 3 calls from this number and this last call i answered and the voice message said that it was from a washington county jail. don't know anyone in Dallas, TX which is what showed up as the city on the caller id.

Just a thought... we started getting these calls right after casting our votes for american idol contestant. Are there any other TV voters with me?

This number is calling my cell phone (which is also my work phone) dozens of times throughout the day and night.  My cellular service tells me there is no way to block just 1 number from my phone.

I actually tried to answer it once and it was recording from ? County Texas Correctional Facility.  The recording leaves countless voice mail messages on my phone asking if I will "accept the charges".  

My number is restricted and this has been harassing me for about 11 days now.  This has to end - how can I make that happen???

My husband just called me from a pay phone in charlotte nc and this is the number that came up on my cell phone.  I tried to call it back just to see if I could get back to him after we hung up but I did get a busy signal like everyone else.  Nothing to worry about.
