where the name should be was V62514335700004...if I don't know the number, I don't answer - they left no message

caller ID said "Best Buy", I took a chance & answered it.  It was a guy will a thick accent saying he was from Microsoft Windows.  I asked him why it said best buy & he hung up.

The caller ID said best buy.  The person said they were calling from Microsoft and told me there have been problems with my home computer for the last several days; apparently someone has been hacking into it and he could help me if I would go turn my computer on.  However, the "home" computer hadn't even been on for almost a month and the modem had been unplugged as we were out of town.
Definitely felt like a scam so HE would be able to hack the computer instead.

I work at Best Buy...do not answer, we will not reach out and call you like that.

What a bunch of idiots those Hodgies are thinking that I will give out my Windows registration data.  Don't give them anything.  They call from a variety of numbers so they are hard to block.  Usually it is a V232084395575 number but now they have a Best Buy ID somehow.  It is just a scam from some call center in Hodgie land IE. India or Sri Lanka.

Just had the same call and experience as others.Caller ID came up Best Buy, but said that she was with Microsoft.... This sounded clearly like International Call.  After she first started talking and what she wanted, knew was scam. Tripped the caller up with questions, back to her. She ended up hanging up on me.
I tried calling number back and got a recording.

same story as above, caller ID says Best Buy. man with thick accent identifies himself as "Johnson" from Microsoft. Says that due to viral activity, my mother board will shut down tomorrow. Hung up.

Same experience caller ID  said Best Buy man called Alex thick accent told him I could not understand him and he kept repeating he was Alex and calling about the only other word I got was Microsoft told him I couldn't understand him and not to call me again. Number was 215 658 4580. Is one of those scam messages where they tell you your computer has viruses and they will clean it up.

Said best Buy and the guy asked if I was interested in supporting the rainbow flag cause.. I hung up

Hard to understand. (Low volume and accent). There were red flags from the start. Said that there was a problem with my mother board and that they were getting signals from it. They didn't identify which computer or what exactly the problem was. They claimed that there company was "Microsoft" caller id said "BEST BUY". The original caller transferred me to another person. They gave names, but I didn't write them down. They were rather pushy in tactics. Kept saying,"Do you want to fix up my computer?" and wanted me to type in an address in my browser. May be I should have written it down. When he realized I wasn't going to do that, he hung up. Phone number checked back to a Verizon land line in Philadelphia, Pa., but that could have just been a number that it was being ran thru and no telling where in the world the call originated from.

The guy as described called twice in the past 2 weeks. I told him I have reported him to police he hangs up. Make an official police report!
