This is a scam call.  Said they are from the IRS and I am going to jail if I do not call them back.

216-242-1287 - caller says he is from the irs headquarter and person wants you to return his call regarding a badge number 594661.  The irs telephone is 800-829-1040 and they will not call your home and leave you a message regarding a stupid badge number as they will send you a notice to act on immediately with an attorney..  Do not call this number back as it's a fraud and scam..

Got a call like this over a year ago. I called them back a couple of times under different names and I played the game with them seeing how far it would go. Obviously. I gave them false data. Each time I was on the phone with then for about 20 minutes, and they ended the call by hanging up on me. It was a lot of fun while it lasted...
Tried calling them back today, got voice msil. Looking forward to reaching out to them tomorrow.

I got that same phone message left on my answering machine with the IRS Headquarters badge number 594982 tonight and that we have a criminal case against us due to Tax Fraud and Tax Evasion and to call that same number at 216 242 1287.  Unbelievable cause the first thing they will do i'm sure is ask for your Social Security number when you call them back.

I received a voicemail from this number that I was being contacted for tax fraud and I should return the call before any subpoenas are issued. I called the number back three times. The first time didn't go through, the second time provided a rapid busy signal. The third time finally connected me to someone who wanted my name and social security number. When I asked them to simply look up my account  based on the number I was calling from the person on the other end hung up.

Guess they don't really want money... friggin scammers.

I received a message from 1 216-242-1287, and they mentioned tax fraud.  White pages says this person is located in Cleveland, Ohio.;

Got a call from these scammers they left message on answering machine. I called never could get anyone who spoke English very well. Gave me some name of Robert Watson and asked for a badge number. Which turned out to be a phone number. But they seemed to have some information on me which was most likely hacked through the IRS. Finally after demanding someone that spoke English they put me on hold than hung up! ITS A SCAM!

216 2421267 is an IRS scam give them nothing. They also use a pone number of 594 4982 and say its a badge number. They will also give fake agents name  of Robert Watson. Also no one speaks any English you could under stand. Also the phone number 216 2421267 is a Cleveland Ohio phone number of a Doretha  Hamamoto. If you get a call from this number just say screw you and hang up!

Got this call today from 216 242 1287, with a lengthy message about IRS fraud and threatening, with a call back badge number.  I would love to see this person caught and punished.  They are probably being effective with innocent people.  Makes me so mad!

Known IRS impersonator, total fraud. This is serious criminal attempt to impersonate the IRS and steal your money. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANYTHING, NO INFORMATION, MONEY, ETC.

Call informing me the IRS had filed a fraud case against me and I had to call them back immediately.

I have received three messages from them and my experience has been same as other postings.  The accent is hilarious!  After threatening me and before disconnecting the call, they say "so have a blessed day".

If you have elderly family members, please make them aware of this scam so that they don't fall for what these scumbags are selling!  We need to do our part to protect the vulnerable.

Hopefully there will come a day when the authorities can apprehend these criminals!

Called them back and messed with them for over an hour from 3 lines. Figure it's less calls they can really hurt someone with.

When you call them back, they say IRS would never call by phone, but several attempts have been made by mail courier to deliver tax fraud information. They give two dates and then say the letters couldn't be dropped off since it had very detailed personal information. At that point, they ask if you want to know what the information is about. If you say 'yes', they will ask you for your personal information to verify who they are speaking to. This is where the scam could get someone if they released that information. Obviously, I didn't give out any personal info. The operator got upset (probably since he had been on the phone with me over 15 minutes since I played stupid and talked slow), and said he would be sending the police to my address, and expect them in the next 45 minutes, 'please don't leave'.
I called them back later asking where the police are since I needed some help.
They hung up on me....

I got message on the my phone stating that I need to call the IRS for tax fraud.  I called and spoke with the lady she give me her name, badge number, her title and the reason of her call.  She told me I had tax invasion for 2008-2012.  I will be going to jail for 5 years, I will be embrassed  with my picture on the news and when I hang up my bank accounts will be frozen.  As soon as she hang up the phone I have the police at my door to arrest me and do I have an attorney I can call to bail me out.  I will lose my house, care repo, bank account frozen wages garnished.
