This number called me twice. I had no time to answer.

Just got this call too.  You can listen to the message at http://archshrk.com/google-voice-for-tracking-spam but here's the message they left...

"...Work with their clients. To reduce balances on credit cards medical bills and unsecured debt with no fees. We are calling from the renegotiation department pertaining to your current bill reference number 589632. We are implementing this procedure under this directive and are calling to get your credit card reduced under Civil Code 17 88.14. If you are not interested in reducing your balances press 3. It is important that we do everything possible to lower your balances, and cut your debt in half. Press. 5 Now to be transferred to the renegotiation department press 5, to cut your balance is in half."

I received a call from this number. Caller ID said:IMPORTANT. When I picked up the phone The message began about the importance of cleaning the ducts in my home. I hung up after that.

Same called ID as lizby (above) but I did not bother to answer the phone.

I receive these calls on my cell phone.  I get a couple of them per day.  Grrrrr!

This number calls my home morning and afternoon does not leave a message when the answering machine comes on who is this?

Received a call from this number labeled Important. No voice message was left.

I also got the caller Id "IMPORTANT" on my email missed call note.  Pretty effective for about 5 seconds.  No voice mail.

Came through caller id as "IMPORTANT."   Taped message announced that they'd be able to lower my utility rates as per a July 3rd directive from the federal government & I should press "5" to be connected to a representative.  I hung up and called back--message thanked me for calling back and said "Press 1 to be removed from our preferred calling list."  Pressing 1 got me another message saying it would take 72 hours to remove me.  All pretty funny as my number and name are private.
May they rot in heck.

I got this same phone call with the exact same recording....ugh

I love that the Claler ID "name" for this is "Important".
Um... if you have to say that? It's not going to be true!

Recorded message offering to lower my electric costs under Civil Code 2981 and referencing number 748-9632. I see that calls from this same number have provided the same or similar false claims with regard to other items: credit card debt, mortgage reduction, etc. This is obviously a scam, probably bordering on fraud. Why can the Do Not Call Registry do nothing about these? Who pays their salaries and why?

I never do business with anyone who calls my number!!! Why isn't the Do Not Call list preventing these calls?!!!?

Received the call on lowering my commercial electric bill @ work.  We do not have caller id, but it sounds like the same message.  I registered for DO NOT CALL as well - so how are they getting through?  anyone call the number back?

Call the number back, and it gives u an option to put your number on their do not call list.

If whoever is originating these calls is giving misleading (at best) messages, citing fictitious reference numbers and random "Civil Code" Section numbers (the call I got said that the federal government was requiring energy companies to lower their rates under Civil Code 2981.... there is no federal "Civil Code"--not in the U.S., at least).....   why would I trust them to put my number on their do not call list? For all I know, they're compiling a list of working numbers of people who actually answer their phones and listen to their scam messages... so they can call again, or sell their list to other scam callers....

I also got a call from them about an hour ago, and my caller id showed "Important" as their name! Of course I didn't answer, and they left no message.  I'm copying what some of you said their messges were and will include that in my Do Not Call complaint, although I doubt it will do any good.  This sounds like more than scams, but fraud!

They called me 2 more times today!  I posted here yesterday, and reported them to the DNC list.  This time, the ID didn't say "Important", just the number.  Of course I didn't answer, and they left no message.

same here...calls my home line 2 times a day...never leaves a message...call ID important....I never answer
