Said that there was an ongoing investigation with the state (which was weird, because I live in Indiana, and the call was from Ohio) and I needed to call him back as soon as I got the message. If I didn't my rights for something would be waved. Clearly a scam caller.

These guys call using a robodialer with a recording stating you're under investigation and if you don't contact their office today they will document the file that you have waived your right to counsel and submit the file to the state. If you answer, the end of the recording will prompt you to press 1 to speak with someone. If you don't answer, the end of the recording (on your voice mail) will tell you to call them by the end of the day.
Of course, they're not going to submit anything to anywhere and counsel is a constitutional right that can't be waived simply by not returning someone's call by the end of the day.
We REALLY need someone to find out a physical address for these people somehow. I'm sure they won't give that out to anyone but if any of you reading this get a chance to find that out, PLEASE try and if you get ANY useful information post it in the forums like this so that appropriate steps can be taken by law office and law enforcement personnel to shut them down. I would have tried but the moment I told them I am a Paralegal and I know the law and that what they're doing is extortion they were done with our call and promptly got off the phone (but not before saying my file would be submitted to the state, LMAO how ridiculous).
These guys are trying to extort money from people who don't know any better. Don't fall for it. If nobody pays them, they can only do this for so long before they'll go broke and have to go get a real job. Please don't let them scare you into paying them anything!
