THIS IS A SCAM!!!!  Called stated the its had audited me and that they were filing suit agai 1st me unles I made and over the phone payment... They weren"t able to verify anything about me, and could not explain why I had not been notified of any audits.  When I asked if he could verify himself, I was told that he would look into my "case" and get back to me, then hung up...

Claiming that the IRS is filing suit

On Monday, June 29th a message was left on my phone stating the call was from the IRS-Legal Unit, to inform me that they would be filing a law suit against me and that it was imperative that I should call them immediately.

Beware, the IRS does not make calls to citizens and if a call is required you are given formal written notice on which number to dial and when dialing the greeting identifies the IRS office you have reached. This 218-389-4334 number doesn't identify themselves as being the IRS on their answering machine and they don't even know who you are unless you give them your name.

Automated recording claiming to be the IRS.

First, I never answer calls that I don't know who they are. Second, I don't fall for crap like this so I didn't even call the number back.

Come on people, wise up!
