JUST got off the phone with this number. Or I should say - I got them to hang up on me. >;-) The connection was very bad, could barely hear him say he was from Microsoft. But I'd gotten a call from this number & looked it up before and knew it was this very scam. Sounded like he was from India. I use Mac both personally and at work, so I was happy to try to string him along and pretend I was falling for it. But I really couldn't make out much of what he was saying.... and I think he got too frustrated every time I asked him to repeat himself so he hung up. I do hope he tries again..... I'd love to mess with him... MUAH HA HA HA!!

The complaints listed above are all valid. This guy, probably from India, once again calling me, but this time I wouldn't dignify his questions with any answers. I think people like this prey on those of us in the U.S. because for the most part we're kind, polite, and will usually give people a chance to start their message. This time, I didn't wait for him to say "microsoft" or "computer." Scam obviously.

I decided to answer the call (about 2pm pst) from these idiots.   The guy had a very heavy bad accent (Mid Eastern accent).  I could not understand want he said.  I had asked him to repeat what he said 2 times.  Finally, he said he was with Windows security system.  I told him that "I do not have Windows" .  He then reply saying, "Shut up you" and hung up.   Too freaking funny!

Couldn't understand the guy to start off, asked for someone a 2nd time, told him wrong number.  No according to him, correct number.  Ask again who was he calling for, repeated something, couldn't understand.

Finally said he was calling about my home PC.  Told him I didn't own a computer.  No I'm wrong, he says.  NO you are wrong I do NOT own a computer.  He hung up.

    Blocked the number.

How stupid do these people think we really are?

Kept telling him I didn't understand him. Never gave him some password he wanted. He acted frustrated. Told him I would call miscrosoft myself and talk to them. They finally Hung up. I just got the same call from 223-600-1229 and they said the same thing as T mentioned below.  When I told them I would contact my lawyer because of their harassment they hung up.  If anyone gets a call from this number 514-320-0874 (Canada) it is the same scam.
