Calls orginate from Elk Grove, IL

With some digging from Google, it is home to Citi or Citi Bank, more than likely collections.

I answered once and the person on the other end said hello? and immediately hung up. They called back at least 5 more times, which I didn't answer - not did they leave a message. This was all on my cell phone, which had a block for telemarketers.

I believe this is collections at HSBC CREDIT CARDS.

I answered a call from this number on my cell phone at 8:38 AM on 10/16/07.  The caller asked for Jason and I told him he had the wrong number.  I received two more calls from that number at 8:44 AM and 10:34 AM that same day.  I did not answer the calls and no messages were left in my voicemail.  I called this number at 11:20 AM and talked to someone named Jane.  She said she worked for Chase Card Services.  I do not have a credit card with Chase Bank and I asked for my number to be removed from their calling list.  She asked for my phone number and my name.  When I refused to give her my last name because I was not a customer, she put me on hold for about a minute and then the call was disconnected.  This could be phishing and I urge anyone dealing with these people not to give out any personal information.

At my business phone , I am having multiple calls a day from this no. for one of the staff, who had a serious accident and is in hospital.  When I lost my temper and ask them to remove my no. from the list they ask by personel info.  I refuse, the operator call be ediot.

How to report this no. to an agency . TO fix the staff's attitude.

Even if this a collections call, why are they calling me at 6:30 in the morning???  Isn't that against the rules????

I just got a call from this number at 5:15 in the morning.  HELLO! 5 in the morning?  Can they do that?

My 8 year old son is constantly receiving calls from 224/222-8004 on his emergency only cell phone.  This cell phone is RESTRICTED to only 5 outgoing calls (which are preprogrammed).  

I called 11/08/07 5:00 p.m. and was told that this too was CHASE BANK.  I explained that this call was coming in on a cell phone for a minor and we do NOT have an account, credit card, savings nor have we ever had in the past.  The gentleman barely spoke English and insisted that I give him my son's social security number I refused and thought I would AGAIN explain.  He said that we MUST have an account or a call would not be coming in please give me your son's social security number.  I was quite abrupt and said that of all people working in the Banking Industry why would YOU ask for such personal information you should know that is quite stupid due to identy fraud etc.  He was rude and said that there was nothing he could do.  So I told him I would be pursuing this further if necessary and hung up.

Just posted above comment.  Called the following number:  800/436-7927 "0" and spoke to representative (Celeste).  Explained the situation.  She said that it very well may be CHASE Bank that IS calling.  She said that I was exactly right not to give out the information... She gave the following two number to call to be removed from being called in the future.

I expressed by disappointment with any bank that needs to resort to this type of marketing/advertising or harassment just to get business and it definately leaves a bad taste for future business and appears to be nothing more than a phishing scam.

I hope this information is helpful to everyone else who is receiving the same phone calls.

Yes, it is aganst the law and should be reported to the better business bureau. It is considered harrasment.

I just called Chase directly. They sadi never give ANY information. If you think the call MAY be legit you can call Chase customer service directly and anyone will be able to let you know, bc any problems with your account are logged in the system.

Also I have heard that Chase was compromised and phone numbers were stolen, and they pretend to be Chase bc they know you have an account and are likely to divuldge info. Good luck everyone...These calls have replaced my alarm in the morning!

omg they call me from this number at least 6 times a day withing 20 min of each other and keep calling and leave no message.

This number calls me 5x a day to my blackberry.  This kind of behavior is unacceptable and I now have a personal vendetta against JP Morgan

This number has called me about 10 times in the last two days looking for a guy named Caleb. I keep telling them I don't know who that is and yet they keep calling, each time a different person.

this needs to stop!! especially calling me @ work!!!!

JPMC customer support number is 800-236-0657. Call them directly to stop the calls.
