SCAM! This number (and others listed here) contacted me in response to an ad on CraigsList for a Harley motorcycle. Happened as soon as I posted or reposted the ad. No questions regarding condition or price. Just wanted set up pick up and to give me my money. Wants to use PayPal, wants my email and account info, wants to pay me extra for the person to haul it since they are not local. Does not want to talk in person for various reasons. Look out for the following numbers that use similar stories, including the one about the Military guy who is overseas and wants to buy it for his loving father as a surprise. The numbers are: 323-844-5611, 224-795-4611, 208-903-8964. This next one (818-738-7798 ) is a telemarketer with about 80 online reports. I’m sure there will be more numbers to come, but the story is about the same.

HERE IS WHAT YOU CAN DO besides reporting their numbers.  Luckily, before I posted my ads, I got a FREE phone number from Google just for this purpose.  It’s just like a mobile phone with VOICE MAIL, TEXTING, and CALLING.  Also it rings to my phone, and I can call or text them back from my phone, and all they see is the number from Google, not my own.  Most importantly, you can BLOCK their number and you won’ be bothered again till they use a new number.  I recommend this for anyone that does not want to give out his or her own number.

Keeps texting me the same thing as soon as I update my ad on Craigs List.  They are both from Xo Communications, Landline in Juliaetta, ID. Both of these 2 numbers (224-795-4611 and 208-903-8964) use this wording:  “Am ok with the condition and price I am ready for its purchase…..coming for the picking up…..paying through paypal….due to my work frame I will not be available for the pick up, but am going to add $900 for the shipping…”

Thanks for the info! Yeah I just listed a bike today and got a txt from one of these numbers. The words there were using..it just sounded like a scam.  I'm glad a googled the phone number.  And yes they used the exact phrase "due to my work frame I will not be available for the pick up, but am going to add $900 for the shipping…”

Same thing happened to me today for my motorcycle.  Same number 224-795-4611

I just re-posted an ad for a classic car (here in Oregon) & I get a text from this number ... I cut him off at the knees, told him I won't ship, the only way he will see my car is to come here for a face to face meeting, I won't accept anything but $$$ GREEN $$$  And what do you know ... he didn't respond ... SCAMMERS SUCK!

going thru this with some twenty something messages with224-795-4611 identified self as lisa walters wants to buy the bike for someone in their church,and yeah wants to purchase thru pay pal with extra money for a third party pickup,after I told them cash money only ,,,,no tickie no shirty,you go now,me no love too much,,fckn scam on everything,just keep lettn'em in Obamy
