SCAM!!!!!   This is a fraudulent company. They claim to be with the Professional Firefighters Association of Louisiana, but they are not associated with any firefighters. They are soliciting for funds for a concert that does not exist. Do not give them any money. If you try to call the phone number back, it will not go through. I tried to bait the criminal to call me back so I could have a detective on the phone to trace it, but he never called back.
    DO NOT GIVE THEM MONEY!!!!

The Professional Fire Fighters Association (PFFALA) is conducting a fundraiser by phone. The fundraiser involves selling tickets for benefit concerts hosted by the PFFALA. The first show will take place May 4th, 2013 at the Pete Maravich Center on LSU Campus. These concerts will offer quality entertainment, available at a reasonable price and provide our supporters a fun night out for the whole family. The information confirming the concert can be viewed on the Pete Maravich website itself at: www.maravichcenter.com (then clicking the “Event Calendar” in the upper left of the page)

In addition here are two newspaper articles regarding our fundraiser:

    (Bogalusa News)
Also, some of our members have posted a well:

The PFFALA was founded in 1940 and represents the career professional fire fighters throughout the state. Our fundraiser is new, and is still unknown to most people. But our organization is not and represents the men and woman one of the most respected professions in Louisiana. Today, well over 3000 Fire Fighters and Emergency Medical Technicians are proud to be members of our organization. Although our programs help protect the lives of every citizen and fire fighter in the state, our members include the professional fire fighters of:

Abbeville, Alexandria, Amite, Baker, Bastrop, Baton Rouge, Bayou Cane, Benton, Bogalusa, Bossier City, Bossier Parish, Caddo Parish (District 1 & 6), Carlyss, Covington, Crowley, Denham Springs, Eastside, Eunice, Grambling, Hammond, Houma, Jefferson Parish & Jefferson Parrish Dist 6, Kenner, Lafayette, Lake Charles, Mandeville, Monroe, Morgan City, Natchitoches, New Iberia, Ouachita Parish, Pineville, Prarieville, Rapides Parish, Ruston, Shreveport, Slidell, St. Bernard, St. George, St. John, St. Landry & St. Landry Dist 1, St Tammany, Sulpher, Ville Platte, Vernon Parish, Westbank, West Monroe and Zachary.

As far as the above post, the facts speak for themselves. Our fundraiser is new and the public is just starting to become aware of it. We appreciate those people who have stood behind us and also thank folks for their patience as we do this for the first time. We also realize and resepct that some people would prefer not to be called, even for a good cause. We maintain an internal do not call list. But Kathy's comment are made without checking facts. A person  anonymously "yelling" in UPPER CASE LETTERS does not make something true.  If there are more doubts or concerns please feel to visit our office at 200 Corporate Blvd in Baton Rouge, we welcome the public. The office number is 225-360-3380.

I received call, thought it was suspicious.  Asked to have information sent to me by mail.  I received an actual ticket.  When visiting the website of the event center where this event is said to be held, there is no such event on the calendar.  So glad I did not send them any money.
