Said they were from Verizon. Wanted my credit card information for my bill. THEY ARE NOT VERIZON. SCAM!

Said that they were from Verizon and were suspending my account because payment received was damaged in mail.  Needed my cc info to keep account active.  Funny...l pay electronically and had verified my payment earlier in week.  SCAM ALERT

Verified my phone number then said there was something wrong with my Verizon account. When I said my phone wasn't through verizon, he immediately hung up. Which told me the call was a scam.

Got a call from a man who claimed he was "Jesse" from Verizon. He said I have had a balance due of $56 for over four years, from when I closed the account and went to T-Mobile. We had paid in full and have not heard from Verizon since. Then he claimed he waived half, but our account was going to collections, and their new system was going to take our numbers back if we didn't pay. I told him I would look into it. He claimed he emailed me a confirmation about the waiver and information about the balance due. No such email was delivered. I called Verizon wireless 800# to confirm that this was a scam.It is. No balance due and no collections on the account. BEWARE.
