Got a call today, Oct. 28, 2010, around 9:45 am. I ignored it and then called it back. It's a telemarketer calling on behalf of our local newspaper.

I get a call every day from this number... it only rings twice and they hang up without leaving a message.  It's very annoying!

I got a call that hung up when I answered the phone.

This company is based out of GA - trying to sell me a subscription to the local newspaper in VA Beach! (The Virginian Pilot)
Geez at least they could use a LOCAL company to put some LOCAL residents into a job!

We received a call from this number a few times.  I"ve asked them to remove our name and telephone number from their list and they say they will, however, they continue to call. We are on the Do Not Call Registry.

Yep, "CRCULATIONS". I think this is the same co that the newspaper I worked for used to sell subscriptions. They are nice ladies, but sometimes their accents are real thick southern drawls.

I just got a call and emailed the pilot to get them to stop them from calling me.
If you are still getting calls from this # then email the pilot and tell them to get the # to stop calling you. You have to put in your # but make sure you tell them you are only giving them your # to get them to get the # to stop calling you ONLY.

Received call at 1238 hrs EST.  Circulations, Inc., trying to get me to take subscription with local newspaper.  I already have subscription and local paper DOES NOT USE TELEMARKETERS!  Back trace on company shows owners as being Kiwanis S. Green, 1607 Gardner Dr. Albany, GA 31705 (http://www.facebook.com/kiwanisg) and Lawanda Harvey, 422 W. Tift Ave. Albany, GA 31701 (http://www.facebook.com/minnesotastud). A quick check with relatives in Georgia law enforcement shows that these two individuals have a know criminal history of theft by fraud and other felony items in Georgia and other states.

422 W Tift Ave is a boarding house (flop house) that my nephew owns.  I wouldn't trust anyone who lives there.

My husband is getting calls on our business line ( service cellular ). We rec'd their one time special, paid them for only the special, and told them we were not interested in continuing the subscription. They will not stop calling.  We will block their number if they continue to call. This is disgusting that they sold our business number to someone in GA.  This is more of a reason not to take another special from Virginian Pilot....

I would advise anyone who reads this message not to take any specials from The Virginian Pilot Newspaper in Norfolk, Va. Beach, Chesapeake, or Portsmouth, VA.

Finally got hold of someone at that number.  Still don't know what business or who, but told them explicitly not to call my number again.  Even though I am on a do not call list, they have continued to call until I just got someone and told them to stop.  I live in CA so they call at 6am.

I just called Circulations, Inc. at229-883-047 and spoke to Candace at the physical address for this compnay. I asked if Circulations, Inc owned the phone number 229-435-2169. She said they did own that phone number. I asked why Circulations Inc was calling people that were on the Do Not Call list and her reply was to get busines. I told her this was illegal. I suggest that anyone that receives a call from 229-435-2169 report the physical address of Circulations, Inc 1624 South Philema Rd Albany Ga 31701 to the authorities at donotcall.gov. Also, BBB rates this company as an F.

They have called several times, I finally answered wanted to know if I got a local paper and i said no and I was not interested in getting it they said thank you. Hung up wasn't 5 mins. later they called back again did not answer. They still keep calling. Am on do not call list does not do any good.

These nice ladies are from Albany, GA. The deep south!!

I am so glad I had found this post! I have been getting two or three calls a week from this number! We live in Hawaii so it's always at horrible hours. 12 3:30 and  7 am. But when I anwser there is NEVER anyone on the line and when I call back, it says the voicemail box is full. I will send them a letter so they take me off the call list. Thanks everyone!!

Got tired of telling them to stop calling my CELL phone, that I am on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY, for them just to tell me it would take 24-72 hours to be removed (which never came about)

So, I looked up the number to the paper they are selling subscriptions to and called the sub. dept. calmly explained the situation, she said her mgr was in a meeting but she would make sure they had me removed.  That is when I informed the lady on the other end that every time I was called... I would be calling them.

We will see.

Called the 229 435 2169 -left a voice mail to REMOVE this # from all phone call! They have the voice mail. It needs to stop! Thank you!

If they call just keep hitting the star key on your phone, If its a auto dialer it will think its calling a fax an block the number, if a voice on line the star key is annoying an they will stop calling ...., an well just tell them you have there address an just might drop by an knock on the door an see if that will stop the calling also have local police with u too
