A phishing call claiming to be from "Global IT" and they are receiving strange signals from my computer.  I hung up before hearing anymore.
Odd that I am certain I heard this very same person call before saying they were from Microsoft.

Caller claimed to be from microsoft.  I did not let him get any further.  Obviously a scam.

Just got a call from this number on my cell--they left no message.  Glad I did not pick up!

Received a message that it was a Microsoft tech name Roger who wanted me to go to my computer right now turned it on and he would show me how to find out who the hackers are. On my computer

Said he was from my computer company. Didn't know I had one! Really bad English. Could barely understand him.

Got call from this number saying it was "windows service center" and that my computer was infected and that I needed to open it.  Obviously a scam because they claim my Microsoft Windows computers were infected with a virus and creating an issue on the Internet.  I had no idea my computers were so powerful.  Of deeper note I only have Linux and Macs so they are obviously [***] artists.

keep trying to get my mother to turn on her computer... No internet access mind you and show her the problems. they keep calling its getting annoying.

Same claim - they have detected serious malware and viruses on my computer. They want me to go to my computer and do several things which the hope will gain my confidence. I'm a bit green because I have only been in computer support for just over 50 years. They encourage me to open some log files and system event tables and ask if I recognize the messages. So, I go along (after disconnecting from the router). If you play with them long enough, you will get to their pitch which is only to 'sell' you a support contract. If you mess long enough, they will even reduce their prices. They are just telemarketers trying to make a living. Sad that they couldn't be a bit more up-front about it.
