Asked for someone else in a thick accent

This is a scam that has been going around from someone appearing to be from Microsoft calling to help me with an Windows error. Once I told him that I was a police officer and aware of his scam he hung up quickly. Do NOT give them any information over the phone.

Claimed to be from Microsoft wanting me to open windows and type what he says. Played along with him as to waste as much of his time that I could. Finally told him I was on to him. Started cursing me.

Indian accent claims to be from "IT" and clearly a scam: called me now 3-4 times.  First I was confused but then figured him out.  Now when he calls and introduces himself I just say "no you're not " and he hangs up ON ME.
