We have received no less than 10 calls from this number in the past couple of weeks. We answer and there is silence on the line. When I return a call, I get generic voicemail and no response.

Call came in at 12:49 today. No message was left.

No answer when I pick up.  CallerID says "AVALON"

Anyone have any idea who this is?  Caller ID comes in as Avalon for me as well.  I answer; there is silence; then they hang up.

Suppose to be scammers claiming to be from a veteran's group. They usually call and say nothing the first couple of calls before they are brave enough to solicit. And then they called on Sunday, Mother's Day.

Caller ID is "Avalon".  No message.

Same stuff - ID is Avalon, but nobody on the line.

Phone number appeared on Caller ID. Listed as Unknown Name. No message left.

no messages, will not answer if you call back, every 12 freaking hours and the freaking government can't stop it???

If you are on the Government do not call list, pull up  do not call. gov and report it to them.  It will ve investigated and hopefully they will be stopped.

If you are on the government do not call list, go online and report it to donotcall.gov.  These people will be investigated and hopefully made to stop calling.

This number keeps calling me, also, and as soon as I answer, there is no one there. I don't appreciate being disturbed this way.  Is there any way to stop the calls?

I was getting calls like this, but it was from an 800 number, and I put their 800 number into the auto-dialer in my computer, and went to bed. All night long, about every ten seconds, my computer would call their number and they would answer the phone. Of course, they would find no one on the line, and would hang up. Immediately, then my computer would dial their number again.

An added benefit (since it was their 800 number) is that they are charged for each incoming call.

I used to get repeated calls from a bank wanting to sell me credit card insurance. I repeatedly told them no and finally got sick of them calling. I called them back and tried to sell them my old PC. I did this about 6 times before a manager got on the phone and tried to tell me off. I told him that if he (the bank) was going to call me I would return the favour ten fold.

Calls stopped after that.

These folks are calling my elderly mother several times a day...she is on the Do Not Call List but they continue to harass her.  No one ever says anything and when you call the number back no one answers the call.  I have filed a complaint with the Do Not Call List, but they don't act on an individual complaint, only after a group of complaints.  Sad situation!

we keep getting calls from this number, this is bull crap im sick and tired of them my dad caint do nothing and when i answer NO ONE THERE keep saying hello then hang up .... tried to call back no success '' caller id says AVALON ''
