He gave me his name johnathan smith. He claimed he was a irs auditor and threatened me with legal action eg. Seizing my house. I notified its. The call was at 8:20 am.

I work for the IRS and they wouldn't leave an automated message like this.  I got the same call and will be reporting it to the fraud detection division.

I got a call from this number 11:30 EST, same thing .. it was an automated msg asking me to call back at that number.

Called and said they were the IRS filing suit against me and to call them back at the same number. I did and just got a busy tone.

Called claiming IRS lawsuit. Left VM

Just got the automated call saying the IRS was filing a lawsuit agains't me and to call back, when I did, they knew my name and home address and tried to get my SS#, when I refused, they hung up.  FRAUD...

I answered the phone and there was that familiar delay of a telemarketer call so I hung up. Then I looked up the number and found this page of reports. So I called the number back and it was a man with an Indian accent saying it was the IRS and there was a lawsuit against me, there was also an arrest warrant for me, and they were going to freeze all of my assets. He knew my name and street address, which is not hard for a telemarketer or a fraudster to get. So I asked, a lawsuit filed by who and an arrest warrant issued by who? He said the IRS. I said for what? He said the amount and it was for two years. I replied that the IRS does not operate that way, and that there couldn't be an arrest because I've broken no laws, but if there was an issue, the IRS would notify me first, officially, in a letter. So I said to him, this is total bull***t and hung up.

I received the same call. They left a VM, called back and there was a busy tone. It must hve been everyone else calling back to find out whats up. I hope this is a fraud call. This is ridiculous, the holidays make people crazy for money..... bunch of low lilfes.
