I seem to be getting calls from this number every few days! When I try calling back, I get a message saying that, "the number you have reached is not in service...this is a recording"

Got calls from this number several times but never left voice messages.
So nothing urgent or important. Put it in my block list.

The number 240-342-5872 DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY (INFO) Its a SCAM they will ask you for credit card INFO and rip you off.. I'm such a dumass ! they knew all my CC info with numbers and all but the last four numbers of my Social , witch I gave them !  I feel so DUMB I have been up all night changing all my ACCOUNTS AND CREDIT CARD'S .. SO BE CAREFUL..Call the cops If they won't give you a number to call them back at   "IT'S A SCAM"!!

the just keep calling it is out of state so I don't answer when I call back it is not a working number

I answered, they hung up without saying anything.

These scam calls are a pain, especially with the "Do Not Call Registry".  I have changed my attitude toward them and decided to have some fun.  Strange number shows up on caller ID, I grab a whistle (the air horn was too loud on my end) and answer the phone.  Upon hearing a human voice, I take a deep breath and blow the whistle directly into the phone.  As of this writing, I do not get calls from the numbers that got the whistle!
