- SteveJust got a call from this number with the ID showing T-Mobile. So I called T-mobile and the number was not theirs. They called it and its a service trying to sell somthing or get information. Scam dont anwswer it.
- Caller: T-Mobile
- cecisame situation, got the call from this number, said it is important and from t-mobile company. will call back.
- KCcalled received but no message left.
- A LTwo calls from this number: one yesterday, and another today. I have no idea who this is. No message left either time. I did not call it back.
- Judy| 1 replyI received the same call on my T-Mobile cell phone. Are they selling my phone number, and if so is that legal?
- DanaI received this call like 3 days after getting my cell phone. Even my parents don't have the number back. I called it back and listened to an automated message, telling me I could call to place my number on their do not call list. Apparently they comply with federal do not call list regulations, so you have to get on the "company" do not call list. I did this (I hope) by calling 1-800-864-8601.
- Caller: maritz research
- Dana| 1 replyJudy- mine is also a T-Mobile phone... I wonder if there's a connection there.
- Caller: Maritz Research
- Debbie| 1 replySeveral times I've received a call from 240-699-8960. They never left a message. I called them. I got an automated message saying this is Merits Research and they are in accordance with the law as they are not a telemarketing firm. In other words the damn government said it's ok to bother us any time they like. The recording suggests calling 800-864-8601 to have your number put on the do not call list. I did that. Suppose to take up to 3 days. Let's see what happens. I just switched phone companies. I now use T-Mobile. Since most people say they have T-Mobile I'll bet there's a connection somewhere and T-Mobile will not admit it. Who knows.
- AndreaI received the second call in the past 3 days from this number, they never leave a msg.I hate people like them, they have nithing better to do then bug us!?!
- McQI got two calls from this number. It turns out that it is a research firm calling to get customer service feedback for T-Mobile. They didn't ask any personal questions or information, just was the person friendly, did they answer my questions, etc. Normal CS follow up stuff asked by any third party company hired to help with quality control. I did recently purchase a new phone from TM and found nothing crazy about the person at the other end.
- jayTwo calls from this number: one yesterday, and another today. I have no idea who this is. No message left either time. called back it sometype of company
- bobsounds like it's nothing but customer service follow up. i placed a call to T-mobile customer service yesterday and had a call from the number today. Didn't answer since I didn't know who it was, but reading this seems to clear up the mystery.
- me too| 1 replygot a call from this number. im also a tmobile client. weird.
- nickersonleeTM customer also. Received a call and a strange message,"I'm busy right now call U back". What the heck.
- LisaGot a call this this evening around 8pm. Of course I didn't answer or call back. If its important, the caller would leave a message or contact me via email or paper mail. I hate calls from unidentified people or companies anytime of day but especially in the evening.
- Caller: T-Mobile
- Deviant| 1 replyThis phone number is Maritz Research. (a lot of people mis-heard the name when they posted about it... it's not "marriage" or "merits" or other variations.)
This company handles customer service from T-Mobile, under their "Voice of the Customer" program. We started receiving calls from this number mere hours after starting with T-Mobile. The calls continued the first day or so. I tried speaking with customer care both in-store and on their phone support line. At first, all representatives insisted they were not aware of such a service and had theories about "previous persons who may have had your number" to explain it. I knew that was wrong since Maritz was using my own name when calling the new line.
Finally, today i spoke with Joe at T-Mobile who confirmed that this was in fact a call as part of their "Voice of the Customer" program. I informed him that it would make a lot more sense if they waited at least a couple days and if they left a voicemail when not reaching their target customer.
Getting a message saying "We're calling from T-Mobile since you just got new service" is a far sight better than having a random number call you and leave no voicemail over and over as soon as you get a new phone.
So there you have it... it's somewhat annoying, but it's legit and T-Mobile's customer care dept is trying to escalate our concerns to parties that might change the manner in which such surveys are handled.- Caller: Maritz Research
- RalphI'm also a T mobile customer, If this is a customer research follow-up call why are they making me use my minutes to talk to them, why no message left, why won't they stop calling me, Just stop riging my phone, damn it
- Caller: Caller Didn't Leave A Message
