Rec'd a late night junk marketing ph call from 248-283-6062, recognized the "248-283" portion, did not answer. Nothing in voice jail either. Dirtbags calling at this hour of the night should be shot. - [8:56 pm]

Called me at 8:58 pm.  When I answered, a recording said "I'm sorry, I must have dialed the wrong number".

Called me at 8:48pm and got the same - a recording said "I'm sorry, I must have dialed the wrong number."

I rec. the same msg. from an automated system in a females voice. At 8:55 PST

9:00 pm - same recording - "I'm sorry, I must have dialed the wrong number."

9:00 PM received a call from 248-283-6062 and they play a recording. How annoying. Do they really think someone will buy whatever they are selling?

They must be sued. They call "Do not call numbers" this pieces of junk.

They are calling to see if a HUMAN answers.  Usually it's a recording that is made from a switchboard and then if a person answers they will try again, apologizing they have the wrong number.  

Then if so, they sell your number to another telemarketing firm, sometimes within minutes.  

That is what this company does as a business.  Do not return the phone call either--usually an 800 number.  

This is how they get around the do not call list.  They are not trying to sell you anything...you are the product!!!

caller said oh, I'm sorry I must ave the wrong number and hung up.

At it at 7:42 PM, called and immediately said, "I'm sorry, I must have the wrong number"

8:45pm, I'm sorry, I must have dialed th wrong number.  This is a scheme to learn if your phone number is active, and being answered.  You will soon receive a telemarketing call.
Problem is, I'm on the DO NOT CALL LIST>

called and said I'm sorry, I must have the wrong number called the number back and it's some capital merchants number. don't know.

Received a call tonight, Sunday, at 8:57 PM the female voice said, "I'm sorry I must have the wrong number."  The data in my phone said that the call originated from Birmingham, MI.  This sort of thing has happened to me before.  A call came in that I didn't recognize, thinking that it might be important I returned the call.  Later the call shows up on my bill as a $16.oo charge; calling the phone company to dispute it, they told that they would remove the charge, but that it might show up again since I did call the billing company back and they could dispute it.  Two months later it did.  I called the phone company again, and again they took it off the bill.

I'm only hoping that they--who ever they are-- don't own this website and are gleaning data from my computer as I type.  BEWARE FOLKS

Did more research, and note that YOU are their commodity. By answering the phone, you valid a live person on a legit phone number. In short order, sometimes within minutes, another company is calling you right back with dirt-bag marketing. Last time this jerks called at 8:56 pm. This time the sleazeballs called at 8:29 pm. NEVER ANSWER THIS NUMBER -- OTHERWISE YOU JUST VALIDATED YOURSELF TO BE SOLD ON JUNK CALL LISTS

Same...Recording saying "Sorry, I have the wrong number".  I get calls like this once in a while.  I always wondered if it was something like what happended to LJ above!  Being charged for the call when you call it back.  I would never call these numbers back!!!

I received a call from this number too but I didn't answer. I never answer these stupid calls.  I turn my ringers off at night so I won't be bothered by calls. It is annoying to get these calls. I work from home and I get tired of getting up and looking to see who is calling. My husband owns his own business and works out of the house too so I only look to see who's calling since it might be one of his customer's. Question: If they are wanting to see if a human voice answers, does a answering machine count?
