I received two calls from this number in the middle of the night.  The call came through my privacy manager and they made racial slurs both times.  The first call was approximately 1:30 a.m. and the second was at 2:38 a.m.  Very upsetting and annoying.

I have received several calls from this number and they let it ring once and hang up.  When I called the number back, it says that this number is not able to take incoming calls.

Someone on another post said it is ABC Warehouse collection agency.

received a call from 2485243800 around 3 am. when i answered, there was no reply. very disconcerting. the date 05-23-2011.

248-524-3800 is the relay number for subscribers of AT&T Privacy Manager® in the Detroit (MI) metropolitan area, possibly as widespread as S.E. Michigan.  The caller could be ANYONE who dials a *67 prefix or has equipment on their telephone line that dials the prefix for them, available at Radio Shack or built-in by hospitals, etc., where their telephone number is routinely blocked.  Therefore, calls from 248-524-3800 do NOT necessarily mean that you are on a list.  Rather than the caller hanging up after a brief blurb, AT&T cuts the caller off after recording for a few seconds, during which the caller is supposed to give their name/company, in order to announce the call to you, as part of the Privacy Manager® voice prompts (nobody is hanging up on you after a brief statement).  Press 1 to accept the call, 2 to reject the call or 3 to not accept this type of call (plays telephone solicitation rejection message to the caller).  You cannot call the caller back; it is no use calling back the Caller ID number 248-524-3800, the relay number, as it is outgoing only.  If you do not want to pick up the phone anymore when this number displays, then unsubscribe from Privacy Manager®.
