Answered a call from this # and it was a "We've been helping people make over $5000.........." I hung up

Got a call from 248-630-4335 , a Michigan number, on my cell phone and did not answer. Rob left a message about making money using voicemail (or something like that). He stated to call him back at the same number for more information.

Received a call from this number on July 28th at 7:17pm ......... telemarketer telling me I could earn $5000 every week ... just call the guy back at ?????????   I hung up before getting all the info !! Have received calls from this number before --- never thought to report it !!

What is the number for the National No Call Cell Phone List? This guy is wasting my minutes.

My question is - how can we get personal information about this piece of sh** spammer (scammer) and fight back?  I registerd a complaint with www.donotcall.gov and my cell # is on the "do not call" list.  Any ideas?

We're all getting calls from this guy, "Rob," and others, who are trying to promote their business, or just scam us, whatever.  They rely on some tiny percentage that will "go for the bait."

This guy, "Rob," admits he doesn't care if a number is on the Do Not Call Registry!!!

I just talked with Rob. (It was easy, read on.) I explained that he called my number despite the fact that it is listed with the federal Do Not Call registry.  He said he gets his numbers from internet sources, and my number must be a business number.  We talked about this for a while, and it turns out, Rob could not care less if your number is on the Do Not Call registry.  His "excuse" is, well, that number was found on the internet, and is (or was) associated with a business.  If you've had your telephone number for just a few years, perhaps it was associated with a business- at one time.  So he (and others) may call.  And the federal DO NOT CALL registry?  According to Rob, it doesn't apply, if your number was found on the internet.

So.... since Rob won't abide by the Do Not Call registry, let's hound him a bit, and make him question his practices.

Here's how I actually spoke with "Rob."  I simply called the number that was showing on my caller ID:

1 248 630-4335.  During the recording, I pressed 0.  That took me to "Rob's" voice mail box, where I left a very polite message, asking that someone please call back, and left my number.  Within a couple of minutes, Rob called.  He was polite, at first, but then became agitated when I explained that the Do Not Call registry DOES APPLY to numbers that are not associated with a business.  (He dismisses that fact.)

By the way, the number listed when Rob called back was 586 623-5523.  This appears to go to the same voice mail box as pressing 0 from the caller ID number. I suggest we call this number and leave polite messages asking for a return call.  When Rob calls back, express your frustration.

Got a call this morning from 248-630-4335 while I was commuting to work. Didn't pick up since I didn't recognize the #. No message was left. Googled it when I got to work and found out it's another telemarketer. I've had my cell # for over 20 years and have been careful about revealing it, but for the last few months I've been getting about 3 calls a week from these people. Do Not Call lists don't appear to matter. The only people I can figure who might have sold my number is the folks who also sold me my home loan. Learn from my mistake...when they are running you through the required reams of paperwork, make you sure you stay on top of things, even though you're worn out by the process. Check off the boxes where you are telling them not to reveal *any* info about you, otherwise they figure they have the right to sell it. They make more $ off you than just from loans.

Answered the phone and whoever made the call hung up

I called the number that keeps spamming me and I dialed "0" like you suggested.  Got through to his voicemail.  I told him I do not want any further calls, I consider this spam and I do not want to be called again.  If he continues, I will fill up his voicemail with belches and other assorted sounds he won't enjoy.  My excuse then?  "Well, I'm interested in your scam 'Rob,' but I'm just a very gassy person and things happen when I get excited from such a money-making opportunity you present!  The belches just flow like money into your bank!  Sorry!  But, as you can see, I am persistent Rob, I will keep calling to to make sure you understand my level of interest in your scam!  Just hope I can get past these belches!"

That's the next step.

Received several calls from this number in the last few weeks sometimes they leave a voicemail and sometimes they don't.  It seems to be a telemarketing scam or something about making money,  I never listen to the whole message or recording when I actually pick up the phone.  If this continues I will try what others have done and continually call this person to insist they stop calling me.  I figure I will just match him call for call.

I have been having trouble getting calls from multiple numbers associated with Portfolilo Recovery, so this information fits my problem, see if it fits your too. It's been quiet until American telemarketers starting calling up north. I've blocked 12 #'s from the states in the past year.

I get calls from this annoying man all the time. I'm also on the DNC list. Playing his game of calling him back and leaving him messages is not my thing nor do I have time for this crap! There has to be a legal way to get them to stop.

I was in the middle of a heated argument with a coworker this morning when my phone rang (much to my chagrin, as I was winning!) from some recorded spammer/telemarketer; I hung up before I even heard what it was all about, but too late. The steam was taken out of the argument and now I will never be able to convince my coworker that Doctor Who is the greatest television show ever made in the history of the universe. :(

Oi, I'm with you, mate!  I was mid-[***] with me tally whacker in hand, watchin' me dad's new wife undress through the peep hole when some bloke rings up the telly and interrupts us both.  I mean, here she is, beautiful young lass that she is, honkers unleashed, knickers half way down her creamy thighs, yours truly in the throes of some of the ol' self-induced hands-on passion, and some daft blighter calls about some new get rich swindle or something.  Bloody hell!  I barely had time to pull up me pants before she burst into the sitting room in her robe to see who was on the blower!  The bloody nerve of some folks.
