They called and said they were from a law firm Marshall & Associates and were going to take me to court
His accent was very heavy like Nigerian or something.  Anyone else get this call?

I'm getting the same thing and from another number 408-905-0606 they are pissing me off and they are calling my work also

Just received a call from them as well, they wanted to verify my social security number after stating my last 4 digits of it. The same heavy accented man proceeded to tell me to have my attorney contact them as I am getting very heavily sued. I hung up on him, he called back and left a message that it is in my best interest to contact him immediately as the "situation badly unfolds". He used the name "Chris Matthews" from Marshall & Associates. A quick google search turned up nothing for them.

I have received two voice messages from a Chris Mathews who keeps stating that he is trying to get a hold of a Michael Smith. Very irritating phone calls. I wish he would stop sending me his stupid recorded messages. Definitely something bogus about his calls. I'd be careful about calling back. I've been tempted a few times to call, but now that I see that there are others getting the same thing, I will make sure not to. I'll just call AT&T and have them try and block the calls if possible.

I received the same phone call from this person. The call was definitely coming from the number 252-296-2944. He also had an accent and said that he was looking for a Michael Smith and that Michael needed to call and if he didn't then that was unfortunate. Oh, and he said at the end of the call, "Have a bless day". I wanted to call back and tell him he was leaving the message on the wrong phone, but I think it maybe best not to.

I am getting these numbers too.  The guys I spoke with an Indian accent and told me they were from Marshalls and Associates.  I looked them up and couldn't find anything in North Carolina.  I spoke with Eric Williams , Alex Brown (supposedly a manager), Mark Shepherd (after I hung up on Alex) and Mark said I was rude and that I yelled at his employer.  They harrassed me after I hung up on them calling me right back on my work phone over and over again.  Then they told me they needed my HR department and my manager.  Because they were going to sue me for 9,000 dollars in court fees and etc.  I don't even know where this is coming from.  I could barely get any information from them.

have been getting the same calls except they know my full name and have my FULL social security number!  its obviasly a scam but the fact they have my ss# bothers me. how n what can i do to take action to make sure no one does anything with my ss#. i will sue the hell of out of these people if i can but dodnt know where to start? please help

yes - I stopped to listen to their whole scheme....amazing they can get away with this.

I am receiving harrsing calls from 2522962944 a very ignorant heavy indian accent man name Victor Benjerman. I asked why he is calling and he needs to provide me with information because I dont appreciate the messages that are being left on my phone. This man continues to yell and hung up on me and not provide me with any information. I will be filing a police report with my local district and contacting the better business bureau seriously. These people will not get away with this behavior AT ALL!!!!!

I too am getting calls from an Alex Brown at this number advising me to call or have my attorney call. He says it is a time sensitive issue and that if I don't call back then he wishes me luck and to " have a bless day". I think they got my info when I had applied for a payday loan. I have already been the vicitm of identity theft and am now scared it is happening again. Who do I report these people to? Should iIcall them back and threaten them with legal action? What would they do if I really did have my attorney call them?

I am in the same position. Please post anything you find out about how to stop them or prtect ourselves now that they have our info.

I got the same call,except his name was Alex Brown? Heavy Indian accent. The number is calling from NORTH CAROLINA. I got a similar call from California last week, different name. When i told him he was scamming me,to not call again that i am reporting this number and name and fowarding all messages to the FBI internet fraud division,he became very irate,starting yelling and cussing even hung up on me. So i called him back 8 times and harrased him and recorded all the information. I live in Texas,and I am not a criminal so any information on me is public record and I'm sure the official would be banging down my door to get me...because my used my address to file my taxes and everything else....phone,utilities...ect. REPORT THIS TO FBI FRAUD DIVISION!!!!! LET'S SHUT THEM DOWN!!!

I just got ANOTHER call from these idiots. My guess is the accent is Iranian I cant understand a damn thing they are saying. After being on the phone about this "lawsuit" they are saying I got a payday loan Online and never repaid. I APPLIED for a loan and decided to go into an actual loan place to do business. So obviously I put in all my info, ss, cell, address, work, BANK! I have since changed accounts since I got a call from someone I couldn't understand after I applied, it seemed way too shady. These phone calls are completely BOGUS ... more annoying and frustrating than anything else.

I just received a call from this number and the people have an accent from India.  I hung up on him and he is now calling every 2 seconds.  What a bunch of crooks.

I keep getting call from a guy named chris matthews. says he has my SS number and so on... told him i was going to call the cops said he was going to come to where i worked and told him i didnt workk and again i said i would call the cops and he hung up! hard to under stand him.
