Got call today,  the man did not identify himself or the company he was calling from.  He became very abrasive & rude because my mother said the I was not at home, he proceed to say the he was going to call the cops on me and then hung up.  My 76 year old mother who had just come home from dialysis was very upset.  I have been waiting for him to call again, so that I can get proof of communicating threats over the phone to give to my lawyer.  Please call again!!  Thanks

Got the same call today. From the police dept. wanting donations. Told them I was layed off and had not income but still wanted me to send $10.00 (amazing)

keeps calling,but we don't answer. glad i haven't since reading previous notes.

They have called me several times also.  When I finally answered today a man said "Mr. Last Name?" and I advised they had the wrong number.  They then asked for me, and I repeated that they had the wrong number.  He said thank you and hung up.

Called today, didn't say a word, just silence.?????

Wife answered phone. Was asked for husband, by name. He said his name was Johnathon and wanted to thank husband for donation that was made. Wife asked him what company he was from, but he then hung-up.

I've got a couple of these so far, today and on 12/2.  I did not pick up on either one, but after the second one I got curious.  Sounds like a scammer.

Got a call from this number today. It was a man said he was from a VA police department. By my mistake he asked for my by name and I responded with "yes".... Lesson learned dont answer if you dont know the number

my called ID came up with Wilson, NC   Said he was from police or trooper... can't remember which.  Asked for my husband by name.  I asked him what he needed.  He said to speak with *name*.  Wouldn't tell me what he needed.  Figures it is someone looking for money

at 8 in the morning on a holiday - did not leave message - most certainly a scam - i wish the law could catch these people....

I have received 3 calls from this number in the past 15 hours!  I will not be answering!

Called 4 times, once at 8:01 am on 12-29-10.  Unknown Name and no message left.

Just got a new phone line for the business and this number keeps calling and hanging up.
When called back, there is a menu but if you try to use it, it hangs up.
I guess someone can justify paying some slacker money to make calls and hang up.
Maybe the person gets paid on the number of attempts.
Time to block the call....

I answered this unknown number and once he started talking about some organization I simply replied I've already given followed with a hang-up. The person hasn't called back.

got a call from this # today but didn't answer it. I think we've gotten calls before and my husband answered and it was a 'donate to the police' scam. Glad for these boards.

Called my elderly father and pressured him for a donation supposedly for the fraternal order of police. My father repeated over and over that he would not give payment info over the phone, so I got on the phone and the guy tried to tell me it was all fine and so forth. I finally had to get nasty. Then half an hour later the same jerk calls back and starts talking super fast to my father trying to get a donation. I told him I would report him to the FCC if he called again.
