i received a call at 10 am, i answered, they said this is an important call from credit card services and that they have sent us many letters in the mail, that this is our last chance to rectify our account balance and lower our interest.  they said to press 1 to talk to a representative.  so i pressed 1, when i got to talk to someone, i told them we have no credit cards and that the message said they sent me something in the mail, i said we never got anything because we dont used credit cards.  the person on the other line, hung up.  i'm thinking a big SCAM.

I got a call from this number. I was actually interested in lowering my interest rate, but as soon as I pressed 1 and got someone, I just asked, what company is this? and the person hung up.  If anyone gets a call from here and finds out if this is actually a credit card company, please post it here.

I got the same call as the below writer. They said it was "credit card services and to lower my rate, press 1". I did, and asked the representative what company this was, and was hung up on. Im reporting it on the national donotcall.org website.

Keep calling, never leaves a message

called today about 10:45 am CST.  no messge just a missed call.  Will keep posted if they leave a message.  Then again if I get a call and don't know the number I never answer anyway.

Called today at 12:54 PM EST and did not leave a message.  When I looked up the # I found all of these posts about it being some credit card scam.

Didn't answer, typed the number in google before it finished ringing found out this and my assumption is correct it's a scam number.

They called and I got the same message - Pres "1" to lower my interest rates. I did, and when I got a person on the other end, I asked where he was calling from and he said that he does not work for my bank, but for MasterCard and Visa. When I told him I did not have enough C.C. debt to qualify, I was hung up on without another work. THIS IS A SCAM!!!! no real business would treat a customer this way. TOTAL B.S.

I played along with the scam for about 15 minutes giving all false information and right before we finalized the deal I asked "does anyone really fall for this scam?"  the woman said"you almost did....*uck face" and hung up.  It was a lot of fun I highly recommend it.

I got a missed call from this number.  I would not have answered it anyway since it was an unknown number.

Received call from this number on my cell phone.  Spoke to a representative who refused to tell me the name of their company or what credit card company they represent.  The representative became belligerent when I asked how they got my number.  I reported the call to www.donotcall.gov.  My cell and home phone are on the do not call registry.

IMPORTANT - ANYONE RECEIVING THIS PHONE CALL NEEDS TO REPORT THEM TO WWW.DONOTCALL.GOV.

The more complaints, the earlier law enforcement can shut them down.

I got a call from 253-246-8586 yesterday (10/20/11) which showed up on my caller ID as unknow from Kent WA, and got a recording, "to stay on the line regarding my credit card, I hung up". A few hours later I get another call from 253-405-5748 (unknown Tacoma WA), from a guy name Jake calling about my ad in Craigslist about my Japanese Maples that I'm selling for $15. He said he was interested in buying the virdis, I told him I have one left. He asked what time do I close, I advised him I don't have a store this is something I do on the side. He said, well I'm going hunting tomorrow morning and I'll stop by tomorrow. I advised him I work full time, so I gave him my sister's addr, instead of mine, which is 2 blocks from the Police dept. He said he just moved to the area, and he said, I know exactly where that addr is at."  I found it to be odd, since I just got a call from "the scammers" earlier and then he calls for a tree. He is suppose to meet me at my sisters at 5pm today, I'm bringing my 6'5" big brother "Damian"....just to be on the safe side.

I just received a call, but did not answer it. No vm left. Will report to www.donotcall.gov.

If they say they are MasterCard and Visa right there they are lying they are two completely different companies.  Also they have no authority over your interest rate, only your bank can change that.

called at 3:41pm Eastern time, did not leave a message.  I googled the number and got this information.  Glad i did not answer

Just got a call from this number as well, no message left so more than likely a scam to validate your number so they can sell it to more companies. Don't answer it. :)

Got an automated call from this number, offering to lower my cc interest rates as others have stated - also implying that they had tried to contact me numerous times and I had not responded!  As I was interested in lowering my cc rates I pressed 1 as instructed, and got to a male voice who asked me if I was responding to the offer to lower my interest rates.  I responded "well, YOU called ME" and he hung up.  Sounds very scammish, and as I am also on the do not call registry I will be reporting this number.

Got the same B.S. message about this would be my one and only chance to lower my credit card interest rate and to push 1 to be assisted.  I knew it had to be a scam as they did not say what credit card company so I just hung up on it.   Anything call like this has to be a scam.  Don't fall for it.

Received a call from these lowlifes yesterday, and when I got o my office returned the call today. No one answered, but I did get a message that if I wanted to be removed, press 1. If it works, they will be removing my work phone from their do-not-call list. I will also file a complaint with the FTC at https://econsumer.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/.

call a call while I was out, came up on recorder , ask for my hubby by his legal name, anyone who knows him never calls him that , he has always gone by his nickname, call came from Kent , Washigotn, checked out on google, reading all messages, so glad we have this chat room. just wish there was some way to block any futher calls, like *69 or something.
