it is for a medical call device that hangs around your neck. I got numerous calls and mostly no one there. then a recording this last time and I listened to the whole recording. open #1 to get more info. option #2 to not be called again. Got no company name.

Answered on 3rd ring.  Got dial tone. Called back ---- number has been disconnected or is no longer in service.   The originator is OBVIOUSLY a perpetrator of FRAUD.   If you get a call from this number it is probably best to ignore it, though it may be in your best interest to try to answer, then document the fraud.

Phone ran and it kicked into answering machine.  No message. Caller ID stated from Cameron, Tx.
I do not want these kind of calls. I am on the Do Not Call List.

I get numerous calls from this number...no on responds when you answer the phone...but you can hear that it's a connected line....I am on the do not call registry...so I called this number back to advise them I am making a complaint...and was advised it is "either disconnected or no longer in service"...pretty darn funny....they can make calls from a number no longer in service!!!

My number is on the Federal Trade Commission's (FTC) national Do Not Call registry.

I received a call from this number - 1-254-697-8741 - at about 11:10 am on January 7, 2011.  My Caller ID displayed the words "TEXAS" and the telephone number.  The phone rang three times - just enough to get me out of my chair and go to the phone - but when I picked up the receiver, there was no one there.

EVERY TIME I receive an unwanted call such as this one I report it to the FTC using its online complaint format.  I provide the date, time of the call, what Caller ID displayed and the message if there was one on my voice mail.  I have decided to let the FTC know that people are tired of unwanted calls.

These companies/individuals know that most people will not bother to complain to the FTC - that is what they are relying on.  Thus, they stay under the FTC's radar.  Complaining at this website, other than identifying the caller, does little to stop the calls.

If more people would complain to the FTC and not just complain on this forum, the FTC WILL take action against these annoying callers.  The FTC does not act on one complaint.  It takes many complaints before they will take action - but they DO take action if enough citizens complain.
