I received 7 texts from this number within 5 minutes of each other.  It said they sent me a message on VOXER and to click on a link to get it.  I didn't follow the links.

Good for you-I'm glad you didn't! They could have charged you premium rates, sending multiple SMS messages, stealing your prepaid minutes or running your phone bill into the stratosphere. Since they were able to call you, you should also check your bill for fraudulent charges and if there are any contact your service provider to have them reversed.

Best thing to do is block the calls. If you have a smartphone, look on your screen for an app market icon, click on it and search for call-blocking apps. If you live in the US and your phone runs apps but no call-blocking ones are available, download one from www.mr.number.com. For all other phones contact your service provider.

Also, if you live in the US and have a PC, you can sign up for Google Voice, a free service that reroutes your annoying callers to another number while  sending them the message that your number is no longer in service. It also causes their robodialer to delete your number from their database, so they no longer call you. For further information, Google the set up instructions for the make/model of your cellphone.
