call came from 256 Unknown Name....Sounded like it was an overseas call, just told them not to call back and hang up...arrrrgggghhhhh!!!

number called husbands phone and then said had wrong number,2 minutes later called my phone and said the samething. Still unsure on who this number belongs too! Sounds like a girl or small kid!

Just called me seconds ago and I answered  

She said, she had the wrong phone number

But I called them back and the phone number was unavailable  

Probably a scam

Got a call from a young lady at this number saying she had the wrong number.

I assume they're trying to capture a list of working cell phone numbers...

I received a call from this number.
No one answered.

Received call from same number on 1/5 to my cell phone.  Provided name and Company in my greeting but got the wrong number response from the young girl.  

Reported issue to cell service provided and asked to escalate to fraud department.  Also reported issue on the FTC do not call registry, and reported it to the FTC as a potential identity theft threat.  Addresses provided below.

256-000-0000 Alabama Call, called 1-5-2010, I answered and the lady said, "I have the wrong number."  The same person called 10-2010, but left no message.

It's possible this number is spoofed, however, if they're not carefull, they'll no longer have an internet presence.

Same thing happened to me, a couple times in the last month... what a pain in the ***

Just got a call from this number, answered for the heck of it and there was no one on the other end. Weird.

I was smart... I didn't answer it.  If it was important, they would have left a message.  probably a scam...
I hate [***] like that because they have no life!

Got the call about a week ago, same as the rest, someone telling me they got the wrong number.   Its strange that this has happened to other people.  I reported the number, just in case its some form of identity theft or fraud.

Answered the call, girl states wrong number then hangs up. Seconds later, same thing happens on my home phone.  Very strange they would call BOTH my home and cell number within seconds.
