Same crap telemarketer act like firefighter wants money for John Anderson Concert.

Just got a call from this number.  He identified himself as a firefighter and when I told him we didn't give he said he just wanted to remind us to check the batteries in our smoke detector!  Yeh, right!

Unknown caller that call all time day or night with no one on the other end of the line!

didn't answer and they just hung up when it went to the answering machine. BUT they've called before and it is for concert tickets, BEWARE this donation is NOT tax deductible so I sent them back with a nasty note informing them they aren't forth coming about that in the little speech they give you. I even told them my son is a VOUNTEER fireman in our community which he is and he tried telling me we weren't so just had them send them and proceded to do the mail back thing with NO MONEY!!!

Got a call tonight.  Asked for me by name.  I asked who was calling- Derrick or Darin- no last name- asked again about me by name- I asked again who was calling- where he was from, I would not acknowledge who he was talking to- then asked when would I(my name) be home- I just hung up.  
Will never give info over the phone unless I know who is calling , what they are calling about, and hwo they represent!

THEY CALL US EVERY DAY

Phoney firefighters who are rude and annoying.  We don't pick up the phone anymore.

This number keeps calling me.  I am on the Do Not Call Registery, this call is unsoliciated and unwanted.  The Huntsville Fire Department does not make calls like this.  This is a scam and I hope whoever is doing this get caught and put in jail!!!!  So bottom line is this call is illegal on more than one count and they better watch out, sooner than later they will be caught.  Shame on whomever you are at 256-261-7728.
    Also I live in Huntsville and just checked with ticketmaster and the John Anderson web site for tour dates - he is NOT scheduled to be anywhere Alabama!

I have a roomate on the National Missing Person Data Base. This strange number is not one that I can call back. They could at LEAST leave a message so I would know that it is not my roomate trying to call for help.

Got the same call, but noone was on the other end, you would think these sites would be monitored and the numbers checked out to see who is scamming people and put a stop to it.  Guess only those of us that make comments here are the only ones concerned.

This number keeps calling and hanging up.  When I try and call back an operator tells me to "check the number and try this call again".

I got this call about Sammy Kershaw tickets. The guy said that it was a donation for the Huntsville, AL fire department so that they could buy a fire/weather safe house to tour the elementary schools to educate the kids in Madison County. This is a lie. Madison just got a $80K grant to buy such a house. I'm reporting these guys to the FCC. You can too. Call 1-888-225-5322 or you can fill out a form online at http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm. They can't call with false caller IDs or to lie about why they are calling.
TIP: Make a complaint with the FCC, and they will stop calling you!

I keep getting calls from this number and I also tried calling back at it  does not ring.  I am familiar with a "spoof card", and basically you can call anynumber and have a fake or bogus number show up on the caller id.  You can google the info, I used to have a spoof card so I'm sure this is what they are doing.  The next time they call, I will call the police to see if a trace can be ran.

this is a spoofed number people, so the only way to catch these crooks is for someone to get an address where they want money sent to!!

Caller wanted me to agree to buy Lee Greenwood tickets to sponsor some mobile fire tank thingie they take to schools to teach kids about fire safety.  Didn't want money up front, but wanted me to send a check when I got the tickets.  I don't even know who Lee Greenwood is but he still kept on about me buying them and then sending the tickets back if I didn't want to go.
