My home phone rings every day and not a sound is spoken ...prank call I want it stopped

These people call all the time, multiple times a day.  I have answered a few times and it's always a lady with a foreign accent with a lot of noise in the background.  She claims to be from Direct Buy, something about my number being chosen as a winner, blah, blah, blah.  I have told them I'm not interested and have asked them to quit calling and yet they continue to call.   I have now blocked their number on my phone set.  They are very aggravating!!!

This number has shown up on my caller id every day for three consecutive days and I am not interested in whatever is being sold.  There is a foreign person with a lot of noise going on in the background and it is very frustrated.

For the last several days we've received several calls where the caller stayed on the line but no one spoke.  We are also on the do not call list so don't normally get marketing calls.  Starting on Jan. 21 we got a call from an unknown source.  The next evening that number called again and a woman identified herself as representing Direct Buy to which we told her very sternly that we were not interested given what we know about the business practices of the company.  The next day that same number called again (it is 857-444-5566) and a different woman (with a foreign accent) identified herself as representing Direct Buy and we asked she take us off her calling list.  Then tonight the 256-754-2791 number showed up on our caller ID as being from Hartselle, AL and no one was on the line when we answered.  I'm posting here since it seemed a coincidence that the 256-754-2791 no. was reported by another  person as having a caller identifying as representing Direct Buy.   Perhaps the two are related but there is little doubt that they are anything other than scammers.  It would be nice if they'd leave us alone after their first unsuccessful call, though.

I am tired of getting called at all hour from 256-751-2791.  If I answer either no one responds or there is laughter, etc. and then finally someone says they are calling from Direct Buy.  Is there not anyway we can get them to stop??

Same thing here!  Was calling home, now calling cell!
