Scam!! Trying to "fix" my computer.  Calls up to 3 times a day - everyday.  No matter what I say, I can't get off this list!

They've called me once, and I put them on "hold" (hung up ...lol) they called back and I told them to not call back.

They were telling me that my computer is sending out error messages - I asked them how they got my phone number and they said when I registered it was part of the records - I told them that would be somewhat impossible as I had a Mac.   They hung up!    

Major scam.  Some guy with a Far Eastern accent telling me his name is Frank Wagner and there is something wrong with my computer.  Ha! Tell them that you work for Microsoft technical support and they better not call back!  They hang up right away.

sadly folks this is just another offshore scam artists and there's really nothing the FCC and their do no call list can do about it.  The number calling you is spoofed and unfortunately once you pick up the phone and say hello they know you're a real live person and will sell off your number for others to scam.  Write your representatives and demand phone companies stop number spoofing, they have the technology but not the legislation to force them to do so.  

I just got a call from this #, but it said "out of area" instead of Owensboro, KY.

My way to get fewer calls is to NOT answer any calls from unknown or id-blocked phone numbers.  If they are worth talking to, they will leave a message.

I have never heard anyone mention what you did, that they can block spoofed phone numbers.  That would help a lot of people who make the mistake of answering the phone in the first place.  I had one repeat caller and the agent investigating for the DNC list instructed me to stop answering phone calls from numbers with no valid ID.  Answering apparently keeps you on the list much longer for being victimized.

Calling because computer has a problem. They need credit card information to charge a small fee. This is a SCAM so don't fall for it. Best you not answer the phone if you don't recognize the number. Call supposedly came in from Kentucky.
