Leaves a message to wait 3 seconds to confirm you are the adult "consumer" in the household, then says they are attempting to collect a debt and wants me to call them at 800 #.

Calls our home constantly, from 7:30am to 10:00pm, including weekends.  They never leave a message when I let the machine answer.  I finally answered the phone last night only to receive a recorded message asking me to press a button if I am the "adult consumer" of the house.  They said their name is "FMA Alliance" and claimed they were calling about an outstanding debt.  I am certain this is a scam since my husband and I meticulously monitor our accounts and have no unaccounted for debt or recent claims.  The service never used mine or my husband's name or referenced for whom they were collecting.

They  called me looking for a Monterosa person or Elvia and tried to trick me into saying I was one of them when I said "take my name off your list" when I was meaing "take my number off the list".  They call non stop for months, how do you get thest guys to stop and how do you BLOCK number?

They woke me up out of a great sleep, they need to be shut down.

It's a collection agency.  They called me because my ex-wife owes someone money.  They can't call her because she doesn't have a phone because she didn't pay her phone bill (I told them about this, and FMA Alliance is not the phone company).  I don't know who she owes nor do I care and I hope they don't call me again or I won't be so nice next time.

Caller identified self from FMA Alliance, that a relative "Ted Sturgeon" had given them my contact information. I have no relatives named Ted or Sturgeon so I am very suspicious of a scam from 281-670-1528.

message asks for the adult consumer of the household. Of course it is just myh husband and I . Then they ask for some off the wall person like Lydia? I respond no one by that name lives here. They they respond with can I leave a message. I hang up. It has got to be a scam.

I was taken aback when i realized this number came from the location where my children are being held from me by the state of texas because of my ex-wifes deceit with the system there. i wish i could find out more about who these people are! they didn't say who they were, just asked for an obviously off the wall name. it was a young girl that called me.

I answered the phone from a number 866-284-0139 , I said hello, and some female african american woman was cursing at someone next to her. She used the f word 3 times before she realized I was on the phone. 2 minutes later I got a call from 281-670-1528, they are the same people. Someone needs to shut these scum bags down.

The easiest way if they are calling you is to write a "Cease and Desist" letter to let them know to quit calling you.  If they continue to call for someone that doesn't live in your home, go to their website and call them.  File a formal complaint with one of the Directors.  Make sure to get the name of the person who calls you originally and report them.  You can also check out the FTC laws.  I used to work for this company.  It wasn't like this when I worked there.  Hope this helps.  Any collection agency can contact you from 8am-9pm in your time zone 7 days a week.  It isn't fair, but they can do it.  Also, if an account is on your credit report and it is the same account, you can dispute it with the credit bureau report and then the 'credit card/retail company' has 30 days to respond.

FMA Alliance are under-educated bottom feeders only employed because they are in a position to abuse and harass the victims of the Depression of 2009.  It's one thing to have a job where you call stuggling consumers but the employees of FMA Alliance should be ashamed of themselves. These are hard times for many good people.  Unfortunately, many of the employees of FMA Alliance know nothing about the economy or that this is the worst financial crisis since the Depression and if they were not lucky enough to be have a desk and a chair to make their calls with they would be cleaning toilets at Burger King.

Honestly i want to sue this company cause they call us everyday and we even tol them to stop calling us. They will not stop. I need to find a way to stop all this.

This continuous calling needs to stop. It is to the point of harassment. It goes on three to four times a day.

I have received several phone calls from this number and looked at this website to find that they are a collection agency.  I went to their website and found their toll free phone number.  I told the person on the line that I had been receiving phone calls from them.  The person asked me the my phone number and they gave me the name of whom they were trying to contact.  I told them that they had the wrong number and the woman said that she would correct it.  Hopefully that will resolve it.

Called here first time, but I don't ever answer unless I know the number.  Sounds pretty illegal to me.

There is a new phone number on my caller I.D. The call ends up with a male voice seeking to collect a debt. The number is 281-670-1540. Don't remember the number several months ago. It is a Houston, Texas phone number. I have no debts owed or forgotten. I don't listen to anything but the first message by the female voice. After that I hang-up. What next????

FMA Alliance is bound by the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) which states they may only contact you 3 times within one week IF you do not send them a cease and desist letter.  KNOW YOUR RIGHTS!  If you don't stand up for yourself, NO ONE ELSE WILL!  AND if ENOUGH OF US DO THIS IT WILL BE STOPPED FOR EVERYONE!
