Called from Houston lawfirm. I don't live in Texas nor have I ever been. Stated I have a warrant for my arrest as far as my social security being on the Internet

Received a voiceamail, claiming to be from "Houston Law Firm" and his name was "Barry Mike Smith"  (based on the extremely heavy accent, this is not his real name).  The message goes on to say,
"I have received an affidavit against you at this moment your social security number is under investigation. This case will be turned over to the State County Court tomorrow in Arlington, TX, and by today evening this will be reported to your county Sheriff's office.  So before I start the legal proceedings against you, I need to speak with you.....*leaves callback #*"
I feel bad for the folks who fall for this bs.  There is so much wrong with this so-called "threat", I can't even begin to go through all of them.  NOt sure how to get rid of these guys.  This happened once before, must've been an app I installed on my phone because the calls started coming in at 1pm yesterday shortly after I installed, then uninstalled a game on my cell.  Such peices of crap, how do they even sleep at night after spending all day trying to scam folks.  

I got the same call should I be concerned? should I notify my local authorities?

I just received a call today in the afternoon I've been gettin calls from them so now I'm just goin to sue them for harassment on my phone

These people are calling me saying that my social is out on the market and that I owe $348.00 for some bull crap. They have VERY heavy Asian accents and said if I don't pay it that they will send a sheriff to my house and I will lose my job, social security and that there would be a hold on my Tax return if I do not pay this amount.

Yes notify your local police because these people are scammers the calls originate in India. Dont let these people scare you. You have rights. I notified numerous law firms and they stated that they are committing felony charges by harassing and threating consumers

I received about 3 calls from this number but i didnt answer cause these people are scammers. I reported the number to the police and when they called they started a profanity laced tirade against the investigation officer so this number will be forwarded to the FBI

This number is contacting my job sayin I owe them money

I received 25 calls from this number between 10:56am to 11:42. The caller was "Mike Williams". I told him repeatedly to stop calling and that this was harassment and I knew this was a scam. He would never tell me why he was calling He said he would keep calling until I called him back and spoke to his restitution officer . ?? I said I would never call him back so he started calling and hanging up when I would answer. I started rejecting the calls so he left three detailed messages in a row saying the local police was going to pick me up etc.

I got this same call back in december of 2012 and then again 4 times today. Is there anything to be done to stop this or actually sue them? Who are they and where are they located?

I applied for on line loan, after talking to the cashnet company I declined the loan.  it seemed shady.  about an hour later I received phone call from above number saying that they were law firm and I was being charged with 3 different things in connection with this loan.  they said I received $1000 in my checking account from company, that I obtained the loan by deception and that I refused to repay the loan.  all within about an hour of this online application.  

Caller states I am from Houston Law firm, court case against me. He was an Indian. So, I acted like an Indian too. I messed with him for about 20 min, and actually had him saying "Brian has a mangina". I recommend when they call you Fu*# with them, they'll buy anything you tell them.

I also received a call from this # ignored it & they left voicemail  about same story.  Have had problems with these scanners also.

I got the same call and he called me Mr. and I clearly a woman. Stated my SSN was under investigation and to contact them immediately. I started getting these calls when I entered my information to try to get a pay day loan. This is a scam and I wish they would stop!

Some guy claiming to be Officer Dan and if his name is really Dan I am the Queen of England. He said my social and my name were under investigation and there was an affidavit sent to the Sheriff's department and he would be at my door tomorrow, not sure why just said he would be at my door. These people are part of what is called American Legal Services and they are all scamming their way across the US using local zip codes from wherever they are. I could barely understand this creep, I heard affidavit, Sheriff, be at my door, I needed to call and that my SS# and name under investigation, but never who is investigating, and I am on my way to jail. Recorded the message.

I keep getting calls also. They somehow even knew that my brother had just died. And called me while Iwas pplanning funeral arrangements and said they were going to contact the sheriff depth and issue a warrant during the funeral. My credit has not been so hot in a while... but the things they are alleging I never did. I worked in the criminal justice field. I amin need  of assiassistance getting rid of these people.

One time they called I asked them for the affidavit number and the court number it was filed in and the presiding judge and asked all kinds of actual legal questions and they didn't call me back for a while. But they are back again. And as I replied to someone else.m they knew about my 26 year old brothers death.

got a call from a"Houston Law Firm" saying I owe $1400.00 for a loan taken out on my email account from Cash Net and that if I don't resolve this I will have a sherrif here with a warrant for my arrest. this loan was supposed to be taken out last year but two things are wrong.. I was in prison with no internet access and I didn't start up this email address until December 2013
