missed the call, dialed it back and it was for some prescription card scam!   Someone has sold my number, i never used to get solicitor calls until now.....

Prescription Card Service... don't know how or why they have my phone number... Received the call, no message left. When I returned it, could not speak to a real person. They wanted me to leave voice mail with my address so they could send me a prescription card.... Guess the DO NOT CALL registry doesn't work, does it??? Arrrrrgggg

Says it's the United States Prescription Card Department which is what it said for others from what I can tell from the message string.

I answered their call, and after I said "hello?" they hung up.

Looked up 281-893-0539 in the White Pages, this is the results. Shows to be 3 people at this address in Houston TX.

Prescription card service is what the message was when i called back.  Same as the other callers.

I keep phone calls from this number (281)893-0539 prescription card service. I dont have or want their services.

Same as the rest of the callers, precription cards. I get this call once a week and it's very annoying.

BS scam in violation of DNC registry & no one is prosecuting them!

Calls at least every day on my cell phone. Don't know how they got that number as I have only given it to family members.  I also have it listed on the DNC Registry.

I recently signed up for the State DNC list. Since then I have never received so many calls as I do now. Insurance, Vets, RX's, Vacations, donations, vote for me and all other sorts of crap. It all points back to the State DNC list. [***] probably sold my number for a few bucks to make up for their budget shortfall. I quit answering them

Same here.  Got a call from this number just a moment ago, I said "hello?", and it just hung up.

These are methods used by skip tracers attempting to collect information and provide it to bill collectors looking for you. Most probably in preperation for a much more agressive collection methods. They will continue to call until the are able to confirm or obtain additional personal information in connection with this your number. Robo calls to cell phones should be reported to the FCC.
Try and stop them ,yes, answer them or call them back and let them know that indeed have the right number, no.

Hang up calls, called the number back and like the others said it was a prescription card service or some b.s...What is the point of putting your number on the "do not call registry" if this crap goes on anyways.  Oh, and the idiot called early in the a.m. and woke me up too.  Scumbags!

Called and hung up early on Sunday morning. I didn't bother calling back.

I got a call from 281-893-0539 at 6pm cst today. My caller ID showed it to be someone I don't know who's name being Steve Whatley in Texas. I did an Internet search and have found the source for those interested.
It's unusual that I ever get unknown calls. I think what must have happened is I recently paid for a background check on myself to see what's online about me for others to find. I used a service called intelius. Upon paying them I was asked my phone number. Intelius must have sold my contact information.

independent contract that gets paid for each person he signs up for the prescription card service.
