He did this to me also just now and got very argumentative and mean when I told him I didn't have a Microsoft computer.  He told me my computer was sending off thousands of infected signals.  Hmm...  No, it's not.  I then asked him where my supposed computer was located and he said Boston, MA.  I live in MN.  He hung up on me.

Impersonated Microsof ttechnical support. Claimed my computer generates error messages. That could not be true as my computer was off.  Demanded I work with them remotely to fix the problem.

Scam! They call all the time and I always lead them on before telling them where to go. I'm an IT admin but I play along for fun. I asked if he knew Bill Gates since he worked for Microsoft. He told me yes, he knows Bill Gates. So I kept asking to put Bill on the phone because I always wanted to talk to him. He got very upset with me and eventually called me a F$@@#@# B@#@!. So he and I exchanged several profanities until I had enough and hung up. He called me back immediately to tell me off so and after exchanging more profanity, I blocked the number from future calls. They will be back as they hijack US numbers all the time to get around our caller ID.

A man with a very heavy accent, couldn't hear or understand him.  He was going on something about my Microsoft computer sending signals and asked me if I was on the computer now.  I truly couldn't hear him and he kept getting upset with me.  I told him that I almost never use my home computer and that I wasn't going to talk to him about it and hung up.  The only reason I even answered the phone was because my husband is traveling out of town to the area where the call came from.  What a bunch of crap!

Man with Indian accent, couldn't understand him.  He said he was calling from...xxx, and then sudden his accent became very unintelligible.  I asked him to repeat the company he was calling from and he ignored my request and starting talking about my computer sending off weird messages and people are complaining.  I cut him off, and said "oh sure, I understand, you're going to need my social security number, driver's license number, address, birthday, etc....sure let me give you all my personal information right now."  And then I hung up on him.

A co-worker received a call from her mother and the mother was very upset and crying. They had called her and she fell for their story and gave them her bank info. My co-worker told her to call the bank and report it. Luckily when the scammers tried to use it for $600 her bank rejected it. They took over her computer and now she can't even use the computer. I don't know if Best Buy or someone could fix it. She said her cursor was moving all over the screen. Don't fall for their act.

Late on a Sat. evening, got a call from this number on my cell phone. Since I live in Houston, & this is a Houston area code, I answered.  The guy asked for me BY NAME!  I asked who he was & he said he was with Microsoft, blah, blah.  I told him to get dressed, get off his couch & get a real job as this scam was really old & hopefully no one falls for it. He hung up, I blocked him.  I should know better than to answer calls from #'s not in my contacts, but since it was local, I did.

    Tired of the Microsoft Scam
Called himself Alex Walker, however his accent makes me believe that it is not his real name. Same story on sending error messages to others.  Wish the FBI would shut him down.

These are a bunch of theives and scammers. I wonder why no law enforcement care to stop these animals from ripping off elderly who are not familiar with their scam? How come they can easily get around the system and mimic a US number, while they are Indian thieves?
