They called me and asked if the lady of the house was at home.

Called at 8:00 p.m., left no message.

they called and they hanged up before my machine picked it up.

Called 8:35 pm on 2/5/10.  Hung up.

They called here at 6:05 and asked for the lady of the house...

Hmm, I too received a call from them.  they just called my # let it ring twice and then hung up. Very Strange, the name makes it sound legit.

They called me, and asked for money for the police department, said no!

this phone number has showed up on our caller id as frat ord police. they never leave a message. the last time they called, they hung up before the answering machine picked up

I just got the call and was hung up immediately after I answered the call.

They called my parents house at 2:30am and asked about me. They knew my full name and address. They claimed they were detectives investigating a Craigslist scam in Oregon involving a girl who purchased an airline voucher, sent her payment to me last month, and never received her voucher. Needless to say, we never received any payments in the past month. They also said the email address for the Craigslist seller had a Yahoo account. They called a second time earlier today but did not leave a message.

I did not answer.  They left no message.  Glad to know it is bogus.  The nerve of some people!
