Called at 5:45 today. Said calling from Eco-Energy "ON BEHALF" of Enbrigde. When I asked him to repeat the name before confirming my address in the GTA he did and then was saying "the nature of this call..." and was cut off. Either by his Monitor or he did it himself. Guy said he was calling from Eco Energy.  I couldn't make out much of what he was saying, but he was obviously reading from a prompter card.  He wanted to arrange a 15 min. appointment to come to the house and inspect the hot water tank and furnace to determine if I was entitled to a $650 Government Rebate.  Whenever I asked him a question he reverted to reading the prompter card.  I told him I couldn't hear him and hung up.

There are many calls now from "289".  I usually don't answer them but I had a bit of free time this week so I've been answering.  I'm making a list of the numbers and what they are 'selling' and won't answer any of them again.

These guys are always calling without defining who they are or what they do exactly.
Many times I asked to be removed from their list they say they will and they never do.

Look at what the world has come to, when these frauds are coming to your door and praying on the good will and kind hearts of our communities. These men could be anyone and no one. What is even more disturbing is the complete ignorance of the public comprehension of the use of titles. These guys jobs are to spy on you in order to create a market for the legal monopoly. It is an intelligence gathering operation. if they smell drugs, or are children living their, the cost of the appliances and tv. they report back to the CRA, CPS, OPP, LAW, ETC. You see the massive security breach in your behavior?

Now it is possible that this is not happening and these guys are just a sloppy operation in contract to whoever. Maybe En bridge or hydro one didn't update the website or maybe the law has a loophole. IT'S A BIG MAYBE!!!!

Canadian have Prussian schools which is just another term for prison. Children are indoctrinated into accepting and obeying the slightest appearance of authority to which they carry like a virus for there entire lives. It is the single highest undisclosed cause of teen suicides and developmental social disorders such as bullying, which is also found in prison. To say that the public school takes a child with infinite potential and is brainwashed into submission is a crime against humanity.

Unfortunately this method allows government to raise armies of ignorant beggars to do all the dirty work such as call you at home and lie.

Got a call from a loud talker asking for my wife, whose name is on the bills.  Told them she was not here and I would take a message.  He said he would call back later... I asked who he was and where he was calling from... He stated his name and where he was calling from.  I asked two more times because I couldn't understand, and each time the phone began to cut out.  he said he'd call back later when he had a better connection. Fuckerz.

These folks call my home at least once daily.  I actually answer. I dont say anything and then I hang up.  I can play the same game.  Clowns!  Now if I could only figure out how to stop the annoying collection calls for Lisa Lord........Yes, I know......sounds like a porn star but that is who they are looking for...........

I'm more likely to believe iris competitors trying to get information on your current system to see what they can sell you, or thieves casing the neighbourhood, than police spies. But all might be possible.

If there are really grants to be had from the government, we wouldn't be hearing about it from door-to-door cold-call sales people.

Wasn't this guy a winner saying he's going to check my furnace and hot water tank for $650.00 to see if I qualify for the Eco Energy grant. I am actually an HVAC service technician. I laughed at him and said people really fall for that BS. Told him I was a technician and going to report him to the ECO Energy board because I deal with them all the time helping customers qualify for grants free of charge.
He apologized then Funny he hung up on me....lol

if you get calls from this number contact the police and your fone company and report it to both!! lets get them shut down it is all a scam

You can block these calls if they cal on your cordless on your landline.

These guys called today 2 times. Did not say anything. Have had calls from them before looking to send someone out to my house.  Told them that I was a hvac guy in the GTA Toronto.. and to take my number off the list. But they keep calling at least 2 times amonth . SO MUCH FOR THE DO NOT CALL LIST IN CANADA!  

Got a call from 289-379-9981 this afternoon. Hang up. Read previous posts this number sounds terrible.

call at 2:21 PM, Friday August 8. Hang up, don't leave a message, must be a telemarketer.
Hey, CRTC, what good is you fancy "Do Not Call" list when these pains in the butt just ignore
the thing. Maybe someone in the government should kick a few butts at CRTC and then
maybe something will get done...........Ooops, I believe  parliament is in recess at this time .

It says call from Eco Energy, and ask me to check their website. Same thing ask about our heat tank.
