This numbber called my cell phone.  I don't give my cell number.  Whoever it is, is dialing at random.  The area code is in Wyoming.  Not to many companies in that state.  I am willing to bet is is a void line (I wouldn't be suprised if it is actually in western Africa).  If it is a void in another area like i suspect, there is nothing anybody can do about it.

its a collection service tht mainly handles insurance companies. if you have gotten a bill from an insurance company saying that you owe for coverage, then thats why they are calling.

I get a call every morning around 8 am from this number. A recording comes on when you answer.

I received a call from this number and answered it. It said it was regarding a personal business matter (aka debt collector...lol). I wrote down the information and checked out the website it referred me too. Ironically enough it was for a collection agency I had already spoke to that morning. They are trying to collect a debt on a bill that was paid. I have only been receiving letters until today. I have called them on multiple occasions to tell them that this debt was not valid and that it had been paid. I have even sent them proof that the debt has been paid. So today when I called (the 1st time) I was a little irritated to say the least. I told them the whole scenario again. I told her if they contacted me again I would file a complaint with the FTC. The lady pretty much laughed and said they had received my letter but until the company in question (Titan Insurance...never use them it has been nothing but a nightmare which is why I switched after 3 weeks) contacted them they could not quit attempting to collect. I asked if they had any contact information for Titan (not that it's my job to contact them) so I could try and get this resolved since it's been going on since Nov of 2007. She told me "no". I then said "so you mean to tell me you can't stop trying to collect until they tell you to stop (because they hired you) and you have no contact info on them?" I then said I would call the FTC find out what my rights were and hung up. I promptly called the FTC and filed a complaint as well as the Attorney General for their state (MA). I looked up this company on the BBB and they have a lot of complaints. Mainly for failure to update file information and unfair debt collection...so I guess I will file a complaint with them as well. Here is the numbers I have for them if you want to try and have your number removed from their list 1-877-289-0281 or 1-800-326-6400. I also highly recommend filing a complaint with the FTC if you are having issues with this company as they clearly have a history of violating federal law. These companies have to be held accountable for their actions so they will stop this behavior. They are located in MA but they automated number they called from was from MD. For the record I thought it was funny that the phone calls started today after I hung up on that lady. I called a second time and had them remove my cell phone and gave them my home as an alternate number, but told them not to call either number again as they had already been reported to both the FTC & Attorney General's office and would be continuing to violate federal law. Make sure you get names and times of contact and make a log.

I got a call from this number at 1:33 pm and i called them back 1:40 they asked for a case file number. They asked for my cell mumber and said that htey did not call me. Hello how did I just get there number then

Same as the others.  Except for me, it's because of Allstate.  I changed carriers, and Allstate didn't stop billing me.  Gave them proof of ins, gave this collection agency proof of ins, but no matter.  They want us to pay because we're tired of being harrassed and it's easier to pay than fight and put up with them.

Same, Allstate. I sent them information about switching to another company, but they continue to try to collect. I sent info to the collections company as well, and they won't stop calling. Next step BBB.

I keep receiveing calls from this number and they are asking for a specific person who is not me.  It is bothering b/c it is my cell number that they keep calling.  I did call the 1-877-289-0281 number and the lady I spoke to was nice and "removed" my number from whatever account it was tied to.

I also received this call.And I don't know why they called me and how they can get my cell number.

I let my auto insurance cancel per the fact that the vehicle was not being used.  It has only been a month since the policy was canceled, but they are already starting to call every day.  Our phone company offers a service called Privacy Director.  It will not accept blocked calls and if it isn't blocked as in this case,  the service asks the person to leave their name and you can choose to answer the call or not.  The service will simply tell them that no one is available.  It's more work for them to hassle with leaving their name blah, blah, blah, so maybe they wouldn't fool with it as much.    ?????

I get a call at random from this number and it's really irritating. It's my cell phone they keep calling and I'm not going to waste my minutes talking to a computer especially since I don't know why this number is calling. I'm going to call my phone carrier and hopefully they can block this number from interrupting my day.

i got a call from this number it was for american family insurance from a 7.00 bill that was a paper fee from 6 years ago they were nice enough to wipe the bill out and appogized for bothering me

I received a call from them on my home phone. They left a message where all could hear. They said visit our website at www.registerednotice.com - and my browser could not locate that address. Instead I discovered all these people with the same problems as me. I did contact these people and they are calling me about a lab bill that my insurance was supposed to pay. I just talked with them on Friday and they are calling again on Monday. Why don't they read their notes before harrassing people over and over?

EXACT same problem regarding Allstate. We switched to a new company. PAID them, THEN called Allstate & canceled. Allstate is saying they were still covering us. We showed the the proof we were covered, now they've sent it to, what I assume is, COLLECTIONS. I'm calling our former Allstate agent and giving them one more try before we file complaints with both BBB & the state attorney general. DONE.

Yep, been getting calls from this #. Sad to see all of the people who are enjoying the same harassment. This is about Allstate insurance and the scam that is happening. I have my homeowners insurance with another agency. They offer to combine my auto and home for "one great rate". Don't believe them. This is about GREED! Report this right away. Don't give them a cent.

The same number and message as everyone else was just put on my voicemail.  I called back just to have some fun figuring it was something bogus.  It actually was a legit bill I had forgotten about.  

BUT..

There is a 9.95 charge to do a check by phone.. so I asked them to send me a statement and I would mail it in.  Just an FYI.  Btw.. it was for Farmers insurance company. (we had changed companies and still had $40 left to pay on incase anyone is curious.. lol)

Not saying all of your calls are legit.. but some of them may be (as mine was).. may want to check your credit report to see what is sitting there.

Keep getting call with no response when I answer the phone. Now I just hang up! Based on what I've read here, I will now contact the BBB, Attorney General's office and my cell phone provider to have this number blocked.

What a bunch of PITAs.

call every few days asking to someone I do not know.  I tell them to please stop calling and remove my number from the list.  Most recent person says "You really do not know *********, why would we have this as her number if she wasnt related to you?"

Called due to friend that lived with us and got into debt then left without notice. Called them back, asked for case number I said I didn't have one because they were trying to get ahold of me. Asked for phone number that I was calling in regards to, told them then she said she would remove my number.  I'll see if they actually do.
