The guy said his name was Marvin from United Services. He said it was legal services. When I asked why he was calling he hung up. It felt all kinds of nefarious.

What is this number.

This guy will not quit, heavy accent, tries to keep you on the LINE, assures you it is not a sales call but something about are you interested in lowering unsecured debt.  Sounds fishy to me.

Dont give this guy any info..Called and knew my wifes name. I told him he could speak to me and he said no I need to talk to your wife. After telling him if he had anyting to say to her he's gonna talk too me!  He mumbled some BS and hung up.

Scammer. Called with very heavy accent, saying he's from Economy Services and that he can lower my debt.  I asked where he got my # and he said from his marketing department.  I told him to take my number off his list and he hung up on me.

I got a call from this number asking me how much I owed on the credit cards. And that he could get a freeze in the interest charges and reduce the amount by 40%. When I asked him to send me the information in the mail so I can look at it he got worked up. Asked me to 'get lost' and kept saying that till I disconnected.  He had a typical indian accent and was trying to speak like an american.But I could clearly make out that it was some scam.
I am sure it is a scam because if it was legit they would first tell you that it is recorded for training purposes etc. This one had no such message. If you get this just drop the call and save yourself the time and effort.

A caller with an Middle Eastern/South Asian accent called me a monkey when I asked him about the Do Not Call List.

Have received four calls in as many days. No ID, just comes up as a 'Maryland'call Caller this time asked for me by name and then hung up. Blocked!
