called 7:50 pm mountain time, rang twice then stopped? looked here called the number back and they said that i had won a 100$ gift card thats good for walmart homedepot and then i hung up

Called back punched number to ok call.  They wanted my birth date then they wanted my credit card #  their English was beyond bad.  I told them "no way".

Same as everyone else, one ring and leaves no VM.   The worst thing you can do is call back the number.  All you are doing is confirming that your number is a real/working number (not a Fax line).  Never call back a number that doesn't leave VM unless you really know who it is.

Just callled me 2 hours ago and didn't leave a message

Didn't recognize the number ..no voicemail so I figured it was a solicitor

9AM on a Monday morning see they somehow got ahold of my private cell phone number.  Called and left
no VM.  Googled the number and luckily saw all your great comments.  I know now NOT to call the number
back.  Great insight by one of the people here to not call back as that validates the number they called.
