Call from Michael Taylor from Liz Keller's office at Divergent. Only this time the phone number was a New Castle, Delaware number 302-356-2801. I asked him to place us on their do not call list.

First call 5 minutes prior was from Carl, Liz Keller's assistant at Divergent. That phone number was a Colorado number. (719-219-7193)

short msg from a guy named 'Dan' to call him at a 610# -- no thanks....

It is some loser trying to sell software.

Christy was calling on behalf of "John Land" from Avid Exchange. She asked for the VP of the company by name.. no idea how she rec'd that.

I asked for the reason for the call. Christy said that she doesn't know the reason because "John Land" asked her to call then conference him in once our VP was on the line. Funny because it sounded like a call center in the background.

I informed Christy that the VP is not going to take the call with only that much info. She said that'd she talk with "John Land" to get more info and then call me back..

Call came today with some one name Susan. Very odd call. Phone was displaying newcastle delaware. When started asking the reason to call, the person disconnected the phone. called back on this number and no one picks up.

Requested our main IT person by name, almost verbatim to 123's and nala's posts above. I told her that I couldn't transfer her, but I could take a message for her. She was a bit snooty when she said, "All I am asking is for you to transfer the call, you mean you can't transfer this call?".......Nope. Can't. Wouldn't even if I could...Should have asked her, "You mean you can't leave a message?" ....business-to-business sales cold-calling...and I am pretty sure they emailed our support email address this morning, too.

A woman with a heavy accent asked for one of our IT guys by name. When I asked what the call was regarding, it sounded so garbled that I couldn't understand her. I heard chatter and phones ringing in the background, which means she probably works in a call center.

Stop calling me!!!

Received a call at our office asking for owner. India accent gentleman stated his name was "Deckland" calling from Peter Johnson's. When I ask him what the call was in reference to - he stated he could not disclose. As we screen calls for our owner. Let him know that we do not do business with them, he again stated could not disclose. We let him know since he would not disclose we choose not to speak with him. He then hung up. Calls from 302-356-2801 calling for Martin Silver from Infusion. He will not leave a message asks for my broker everytime and will not disclose. We screen calls here too. I believe it is a scam. I even told him if your trying to sell something you can let me know and I will have her call you. He says my phone is always busy she will not be able to call me directly. Makes no sense.

I got a call to our medical practice from a guy saying that he is representing "Alexandra" from Aetna. He specifically asked for my sister, who is the owner of the practice. I explained to the caller that I am the one in charge of health insurance. He again asked for my sister and I told him "I am the owner's sister. i am the manager here and I am the one who handles any insurance". He again said he is representing Alexandra and then said he would call back. total scam.

Don't know this number

I had the same call and the same conversation almost word for word but the names were different. It was a man named John Beck .He calls once a week.

Caller ID is showing this number.  I picked it up, and was immediately disconnected.  I called back, phone is ringing like it is very busy which indicates that the number is not available or disconnected.  This number calls every day and is associated with the phone number from Colorado.  I am getting a caller ID block phone system.

Had the exact same scenario today, same name.  Told me he needed to talk with VP.  Wouldn't disclose company he was calling with or for and called me by my first name but couldn't tell me my last name.  I said if you don't know my last name there's no reason for me to talk to you.  Also couldn't disclose the nature of the call.  Very annoying.

John Anderson the assistant to Sidney Davis called.  He asked for owner, I asked what it was regarding, was told he did not know, I told him to find out and call back.

call from this number, showed up as Delaware. Asked to speak to ___ (and said my name). I asked, who's calling. He hesitated, and said This is Dave, is this ____   I said, I asked who is calling? He said this is Dave, is this ____  I said I am not answering your question until you tell me who this is. I get a lot of unwanted solicitation calls. I'll ask once more WHO IS CALLING? He said this is dave with (and I couldn't understand the words he said, it's like he covered his mouth).  I said, well I'm not interested and dont call my number again, remove it immediately from your list.  He mumbled something and I hung up then blocked the number.   He had a foreign accent although I couldn't discern what type of accent.

The caller was became rude when I questioned his reason for calling he told me to just transfer the call to the person he wanted to talk to.  The caller was very hard to understand but did say the company name he was calling about was Ceridian - a payroll service company.
