- HankThis scam tries to get my social number and my name by asking me to key in my SSN.
- AimeeEverytime this number calls which is about 4-5 times per day, i will answer but they will not. When i say hello someone stays on the line but never says anything but eventually hangs up on me. WTF seriously.
- AnnoyedThis number is calling over and over. Since it isn't a number I have seen before, I googled it and this page turned up! Be aware of this number. It doesn't look good!
- davidthese people are obnoxious, rude, and inconsiderate, they've called me all up into 8 a clock at night and then hangup every time i answer the phone. they are scamming marketing company that supposedly removes your number from their call lists if you ask but they never really do... they have asked other people for their social security numbers through the phone for various purposes, DO NOT TRUST these people!
Call your technical support at youtr phone company and have their number blocked its the only thing that worked for me so far.- Caller: they never give a name, SKETCHY
- JB| 1 replyThis number is a SCAM!! They call constantly and every time I answer, they hang up. After finally getting someone that didn't hang up, he told me that I've won a $100 Walmart gift card but there is a $2.50 processing/activation charge that cannot be deducted from or charged to the gift card. After telling me that I have a Visa debit card, he asked for the name on the card, the expiration date, and security code on back. I asked what company he is from and he told me his name was Austin Jones (although he had a VERY think Indian accent) and worked for Select Benefit located in Phoenix, AZ (even though the 302 area code is CLEARLY a Delaware area code that showed up on my phone) and his employee number was 67289.
Upon not wanting to give my information out and asking for a number to call them back on so that I can verify, he proceeded to get indignant with me telling me that "we are a legitimate company...I just need your information to send out the gift card" and "you are wasting my time so why don't you just hang up", I proceeded to do just that.....HANG UP!! This is DEFINITELY a scam!!
I wonder if the calls will stop now since I was "wasting his time". Ha!! I even looked up Select Benefit in Phoenix, AZ on Manta.com and there seems to be only FOUR employees!! Such a scam!! http://www.manta.com/c/mtxk334/select-benefit- Caller: Select Benfit
- Cat| 1 replyThe guy that is calling has an indian accent when he talks talks saing that i won a $400 gift certificate to wal-mart then in another part of my conversation says i won a $500 certificate this is a scam or the police i know they pull similar things if you got a warrant for your arrest. so BEWARE of this number!!!!
- TELThis is obviously a SCAM. Some how we need to figure out who is doing this.
They promise a $100 gift card but want a credit or debit card # so they can do a "ONE TIME charge of $2.95 for shipping & handling" When I said I would not give my card # over the phone to an unsolicited phone call to my CELL # (that I never give out) - he got EXTREMELY irate with me and started cussing me out and is now 'prank calling' me every hour or so.
And this was supposedly the "Manager" since I couldn't really understand the 1st guy - I had to ask him to repeat himself multiple times - so he finally put his Manager on to confirm. But, the manager also spoke with a very heavy accent and I couldn't understand him very well either. So again I asked him to repeat several times. But when I calmly told him for the 3rd or 4th time - that "yes of course I'm interested in a $100 gift certificate, buy I will not give out a card # over the phone to an unsolicited caller" - he got very upset and threatened me and began cursing me - then hung up. I have since gotten at least 4 calls from the same #, with no response on the other end.
HOW can we put a stop to this shady operation ???- Caller: Something Marketing
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Carrie| 3 repliesThey called me 6 times yesterday and I told them to remove my # This is pissing me off!
- Matt replies to Carrie| 2 repliesDoes everyone on here have Metropcs? I think we can get to the bottom of this if so
- MarlaThey have called me more times that I can count. Now they are starting to call me from another number with my area code, and it is the same people. I told them one more call and I would file a lawsuit against them.
- Caller: unknown
- RachelAt the 1st time they called I've told them to [***] off because the number is showing as unknown on my phone and I DO NOT believe anyone who doesn't even have a caller ID, they only had a chance to tell me that I won a [***] $100 gift card which I obviously don't believe.
These people are [***] annoying they keep calling after I told them to [***] off and hang up, so I turned my phone off for about an hour. They even left a voice mail on my phone, maybe by accident, no one was talking, I only heard the background was noisy. From the voice mail I got this number and I went to whitepages to find out it is a Delaware number, which I don't know anyone from.
Just cursed them and told them if they [***] call me again I'm going to tell this number to police... Don't know if it will work, but I will curse them everytime I answer the phone and hang up on them.
Fun to release my pressure as I'm a customer service representative at work lol - Seriously| 1 replyOnce I figure out it is a scam (usually by looking at sites like this first) the next time they call I answer (mytown- Police Department). they don't seem to call back after that :)
- AshleyI don't have metro pcs but I've received this call 15 times in the past two days. I can't block numbers on my phone as it is a prepaid and idk wtf to do to get it to stop calling. Any suggestions?

- helen| 1 replySouthwest airlines had a promotions "Southwest is the best" which I believed until i participated in promotion. In order to get a round free ticket you need to subcribe to partner services. I did it before with magazines which are also about $200 so I did not see why not try a ticket. But Southwest made it impossible. YOu subscribe for a couple (Netflix for a example) and they take you to anothe page to subscribe to 9 (nine) services you do not need!!! SO I quit and never got the ticket. But I provided my infor to Southwest at the beginning. The terms were - if you get the ticket their partners will contact you regarding to topics you choose. So no somebody is calling me from 302-394-9585. Not only they have offer services I do not need but also make personal comments and harrass me!!! I tried to contact Southwest but it takes forever, I probably need to spend days!
- Helen replies to helenI called Southwest, they said they had nothing to do with promotion. Very helpful!
